I'm not buying it. This is simply ignoring what was actually said so that you can replace it by "just seek for peace and you will find it". Ridiculous philosophy that I call cognitive dissonance. It totally ignores the whole premise and structure of the Restored Gospel and what the Oracles of God are, and what they do. You have to just chuck all that out the window to buy into Wortherspoon's philosophy. HELL NO.

I wouldn't call it a philosophy. Wotherspoon wants to be a Mormon. He knows there are serious, horrible problems. But he wants to be a Mormon. He knows he can't defend his rationale. But he wants to be a Mormon. He knows that his version of Mormonism is utterly idiosyncratic, private, not to be shared. But he wants to be a Mormon. He will redefine, reimagine, reconstruct the meaning of "Mormon", "doctrine", "belief", etc in order to pretend to stay within the fold. He wants to be a Mormon at all costs. He may consider himself broad and deep and nuanced but I consider him pathetic.

Well, at least he doesn't try to solve everything by bringing in aliens with amazing super-powers ...
Zadok:
I did not have a faith crisis. I discovered that the Church was having a truth crisis.
Maksutov:
That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.

I'll buy that for a dollar.
Riding on a speeding train; trapped inside a revolving door;
Lost in the riddle of a quatrain; Stuck in an elevator between floors.
One focal point in a random world can change your direction:
One step where events converge may alter your perception.
