Your point resonates with me. After I left the LDS church, I threw myself into parenthood, my graduate work, and subsequent academic endeavors. I don’t think I read another LDS themed post until I found mD forum, some 25-30 years later. Then, I had a little more time and began reading. This forum was a tremendous source.dastardly stem wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 7:28 pmIts a fair thought you have there. I figured my critical comments about his message spelled a few things out. But, if you're looking for more from me, I'm afraid I don't have it.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 6:58 pm
Well, I read your post and it has a ‘two sides of the same coin’ feel to it. I just wanted to see if you had some notions where an ex-Mormon pod caster could avoid mirroring the cult in both behavior and tone.

What was quite disturbing was how much sexism there still was, even here. Consiglieri’s latest comment to me on this thread was to ask if I was “high-strung.” He gave no response to my comment other than to post this. Based on my observations, his responses to posters he knows are women invariably includes some demeaning, pejorative term.
There are plenty of places to get full information about various things I am interested in, including my Mormon background, and listening to someone who I know, through first-hand experience, regularly demeans and disparages posters with sexist stereotypes once he learns they are female is not one of them. The world of experiences is far too large to waste time on a podcaster who does that.
