yes I have...but I have to confess I am a carpenter by trade, but manage the construction on site for the past 25 years.

Wow I thought I had been following along with the thread but clearly I missed that! Ok, makes much more sense.

Thank you, yes, I remember Mayan Elephant mentioning stuff like that... is Markk an ME sock puppet? or are they both nephew/nieces? or just two close observers of weirdness? (Just ignore this if I'm cutting too close to in real life.)

Mayan is not Markk. Neither are related to HN. Mayan took classes from/observed HN at BYU. Markk never went to BYU or otherwise had contact with HN.
I know Mayan from other places and have many friends in common with him. I don't know Markk beyond what he has posted here.

I don't get why everyone is crapping all over Markk right now? I find his connection to Mr. Nibs fascinating. Am I missing something?

Sorry - so you are saying that Markk is not telling the truth when he says that Nibley was his uncle? How do you know that (maybe Nibley had no nephews)? I am beginning to feel somewhat confused.

Lemmie,
I am not telling the truth, I am messing with folks that were saying I said some things about Nibley, when I was actually just quoting, in jest, what others had written about Nibley. At first it was in hopes that they re-read the thread to see that I didn't say what they believed I had said, but when people actually believed it I couldn't help but have fun with it.
by the way, I do have a sock puppet here...I also go by Kish.

So you're just basically a rather boring person who tells lies in order to get some attention. Good to know.

Got it, so ...not a nephew, back to stalker, or at a minimum bitchy gossipmonger. Ooh, that is amusing!!!!

I wouldn't go that far.
Markk made a simple joke that confused people for some reason.
If people had read the thread closely, they would have seen Markk was repeating Mayan's comments. When there was confusion, he answered it with what I bet he assumed would clearly be seen as a joke. That's how I took it having read Markk's posts on and off over the years where he's mentioned things about his family and his situation. It seemed pretty obvious to me which is why I felt confident in my response.
by the way, Markk, that restoration job is incredibly impressive. Stunning.
