No you did not deal with his bucket list. You didn't demonstrate they were not slam dunks. The Book of Abraham is a slam dunk. One that you have never learned all the issues surrounding it. You need a lot more then a lengthy post, which I understand one may not want to take that kind of time to find the truth.
That “lot more” isn’t something I can verbalize in a forum such as this. That’s why I’ve repeatedly said that it’s a path each person has to take on their own. Many times words, in and of themselves, can’t fully express why and how we come to be where we are.

I’ll tell you what though. You know a LOT more about me than I know about you.

Perhaps I remember more of our discussions then you do. Like your admission you could not resolve many of these areas and choose to believe.

I have no doubt that you remember much of what I’ve said during our discussions. That’s not what I’m saying. What I am saying is that I know very little about you and what really makes you tick. Except for the fact that you don’t believe in Mormonism. Beyond that, you could be a gangster as far as I know.

Same with others here. I know very little about their personal beliefs or sense of morality, etc. Hopefully there aren’t any gangsters here wiling away their time talking about Mormonism.

But how would I really know?

You know I’m not a gangster. I’ve shared too much. But are you? Who knows?

By the way, lest Lemmie come in and project the idea that I’m calling everyone a gangster, let me be clear, I’m speaking tongue in cheek.

She seems to be a bit humor deprived now and then.

Oh look, mental has a new attack phrase! I’ll take it, though. It is a VAST improvement on when he used to call specific people here “sodomites and purveyors of sin.” Maybe we are rubbing off on him.

And now it's time to go to the Wayback Machine to put this in context from Sept. 2017:

Same applies to some others here. The hate (Shulem). The liars (Doc and others). The purveyors of sin (pornography, sodomy, etc.)

And a blindness/open rebellion to a creator/God in who's image we are created.

And don't take it personally.

Jersey, you've listed a multitude of 'sins'. It looks like you're in the clear unless you have some secret sin you haven't disclosed. You are apparently someone who doesn't approve of and/or act as a purveyor of porn or approve behavior that results in sodomy.

From having read threads in the past, however, I am inclined to think that there are some folks that are comfortable with porn. Others that are comfortable with homosexual behavior which includes sodomy.

Others, I'm sure...including myself...are not comfortable with the sin of porn and/or sodomy in a homosexual relationship.

Notice also that I used specific names when I mentioned "hate" and "liars".
Just to put it all in context. For education purposes.

I I spoke too soon. Mentalgymnast thinks that a post wherein he adds name calling such as haters, liars, porn-watchers and homosexuals to his ignoble list, while simultaneously admitting he has no actual knowledge, adds “context.” I think his bias is showing. (And don’t drag Jersey Girl into this, mg. You’ll regret it!)

Thanks for doing that MG. I've reconciled the responses below. I've also colored the questions where we differ by more than one step of probability in purple.

1. Joseph Smith had sexual relations with women other than Emma Smith while being married to Emma Smith.
My response: 90
Your response: 90
Difference: 0

2. Joseph Smith hid having extramarital consensual sexual activity from Emma Smith at least some of the time he was engaging in having sex with women other than Emma Smith.
My response: 90
Your response: 90
Difference: 0

3. No known historic population of Native Americans matches the description of the Nephites as given in the Book of Mormon, statements from Joseph Smith, and taught by the LDS church over the pulpit.
My response: 90
Your response: 90
Difference: 0

4. No historic population of Native Americans, known or unknown to modern archeology, matches the description of the Nephites as given in the Book of Mormon, statements from Joseph Smith, and taught by the LDS church over the pulpit.
My response: 75
Your response: 90
Difference: 1 step

5. The facsimiles in the Book of Abraham show an attempt to translate Egyptian hieroglyphics that does not match the translation of EH discovered and published after Church's release of the Book of Abraham.
My response: 90
Your response: 90
Difference: 0

6. There is an active intelligent force to whom responsibility for the existence of the Universe as we observe it could be assigned.
My response: 50
Your response: 90-100
Difference: 2 - infinite steps (absolute certainty being beyond probability)

7. There is a God who literally fathered the spirits of every person who has or will live on the Earth, and humankind is a physical embodiment of the form of God as a tabernacle for a spirit child of God created in His image.
My response:10
Your response: 50-75
Difference: 2 to 3 steps

8. God loves us.
My response: 50
Your response: 100
Difference: infinite

9. The figure known as Jesus Christ is literally the offspring of God in that a human woman gave birth to Jesus while his father in the biological sense was God.
My response: 10
Your response: 90
Difference: 4 steps

10. The stories about Jesus contained in the New Testament are largely historically accurate and can be trusted in their broad strokes even if the details may be misrepresented.
My response: 25
Your response: 25 -50
Difference: 0 to 1 step

11. Jesus died and was resurrected from the dead.
My response: 10
Your response: 90
Difference: 4 steps

12. The culture of Mormonism is a good environmental in which to raise a family.
My response: 25
Your response: 100
Difference: infinite

13. The authority to act on God's behalf on Earth is gendered for purposes that are according to Gods plan, and for the good of His children.
My response: 0
Your response: 90
Difference: infinite (there being no amount of evidence I believe could possibly come forward that would change my position as I scored it. The probability of this statement being true is untenable to me.)

14. Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ after praying to ask which church he should join.
My response: 10
Your response: 90
Difference: 4 steps

Would you like to pick one of the topics in purple to discuss in more detail with evidence?

Some haters and liars? Yes. Some porn watchers and/or homosexuals (sodomists)? Yes. I specifically pointed out that Jersey was not even on the radar.

Are you saying that hate speech hasn’t been used? Are you saying that lying, in any of its forms, has been absent? Are you saying that porn is unacceptable by the majority here? Are you saying that there are no sodomists and/or homosexuals that post here?

Anyway, if you’re bummed out that I’m asking you if you’re a gangster, sorry.

This is going off topic.

Not that this thread has gone WAY off topic.

Either of us ought to be free to present anything we view as evidence for our holding the view of probability regarding the justification for the statement being discussed. The point being to discuss it.

I'd like you to pick one of the statements where we disagreed by at least two steps or more for discussion.

I'll also say your answer to 10 is the one that surprised me.
