I don't think that Steve Benson is a "Bitter Ex-Mormon", I think he may indeed be "Bitter", and uses Ex-Mormonism as a venting place.

Jason,

Just the fact that Steve is such a controversial figure at RFM proves he isn't a "typical bitter" exmormon at all. He may have his supporters there, but he also has his detractors who regularly pipe up. In addition, his tendency to lash out at fellow exmormons demonstrates his problematic characteristics are not related to being an exmormon. I think it's just his personality, and if he's anything in real life like he is online, it's amazing his marriage lasted as long as it did.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

Well, she may be able to spell her own name, but she is a scab on the face of political discourse in this country.

Now, there's someone to feel sorry for. The person with the other ring.

Opps!! And Coulter. I don't really like her very well but I thought that it was interesting she thinks Romney will get it.

C'mon Jason, you know better than to play the "typical bitter ex LDS" card.

But HE IS!! I don't think everyone is. I don't think you are, nor TD or Beastie or Shades or a lot of folks here. Infymus, Merc, PP, yea they can be. But Benson IS!

I do agree, though, and I've said this on other occassions, that the whole concern about Romney where his loyalties lie is a canard.

My concern about him is the same concern I have about Huckabee (and other republican candidates): will his sympathy for religious folks lead him to empower the religious right even more? I won't vote for anyone who will do anything to help entrench the religion even more into the public square or to empower fundie nut cases (not saying all are nut cases, but many, many are nut cases and many of these are politically active).

And this is fair and I agree. I don't really want anyone's religion interfering with leading politically. I do think Romney's speech was a bit disappointing in that aspect. He played too much to the fundie EVs.

Seems pretty bitter to me.

I am not an apologist. And I do not think I typically act hateful or vengeful.
