Doctrine And Covenants Section 76 was a 'Vision' given to Joseph Smith and Sydney Rigdon on February 16, 1832. Joseph Smith doesn't give out Doctrine And Covenants until May 16, 1843. That is over 11 Years later, than when he an Sydney Rigdon received Doctrine And Covenants Section 76. From Doctrine And Covenants Section 131, Verse two, it sates that, "And in order to obtain the highest, a man must enter into this border of the priesthood [meaning the new and everlasting covenant of marriage];".
