Ridiculous. I haven't borne my testimony in F&T meeting for over seven years and have held many leadership positions.
Also, there is a difference between a stigma and not getting leadership callings. I don't consider 'not being considered for the Bishopric' a stigma.

All the more reason to abstain, whether you're a believer or not!

They pretty much don't go to church on my weekends. We usually go and play why my wife and her kids are at church. Hopefully it will embitter them against the church! :)
Good for you.
When I have my kids on my weekends I save the best stuff for Sundays. Shopping, movies, bowling, hiking, golf (my 13 year old daughter LOVES to drive the golf cart), etc. I have always offered to take them to church if they would like, but in the 11 years I have had them, they have yet to take me up on my invitation. They have come to realize that no bolt of lightning is going to strike them down for doing stuff with their dad on a Sunday. I know on my off weekends they are sitting in Sacrament Meeting daydreaming of the fun stuff they would be doing with me. Drives the tbm ex bonkers.
Earlier this summer they had a great time when I took them to a Sunday afternoon Dodgers game. While we were stuffing our faces with Cokes and Dodger Dogs I said "Oh crap...I forgot today was fast Sunday." They got a kick out of that. After my son got a foul ball I said, "Try catching one of those while sitting in the chapel." Hopefully there will be no NBA lockout. A Lakers or Clippers game will definitely be on the Sunday afternoon agenda.
Red flags look normal when you're wearing rose colored glasses.

I said "unlikely" and "positions of import" YMMV.
