Okay, so your response didn't really answer my question so I will try again. Could you please answer the following questions:

Are you proposing that masturbation is a) not a sin in Mormonism b) not a sin that needs to be confessed in Mormonism c) not a sin that YOU PERSONALLY have ever confessed to a Mormon leader or d) that your Mormon leaders were being derelict in their religious duties?

Your answers:

a)
b)
c)
d)

Thank you. Once you answer these, we will go from there.

My current bishop asks the M question of people of the male persuasion. I even requested he discontinue ever asking my children that question and he said he would "try to remember" not to. Because, yeah, he asks it all the time.
My dad got asked on his last TR interview...he's, like, 60+.

I think your bishop probably watches too much porn ...

... or too little :)

I am sure men over 60 in the LDS Church masturbate -- I mean, isn't it about 30 - 35 that many LDS women want to retire their "factory" and concentrate on choir and gossip in Relief Society?

Listen folks, it's common knowledge that the LDS church is totally anti-masturbation to the core. I have a living testimony of this truth and cannot deny it.

The cult of Mormonism is founded upon the principle of not masturbating as if it is the number one rule:

The Church of Jesus Christ of Anti-masturbating Saints

I love to masturbate. It's a beautiful practice and everyone should learn how to do it without guilt. Unfortuantely, the evil practices of The Church of Jesus Christ of Anti-masturbating Saints is spreading evil upon the land and corrupting so many precious minds. For shame! The First Presidency must be hauled into court and sued for child endangerment and causing suicides. Sue the Mormon church!! Jail the prophet!

I'm planning on it--but not in church of course.

masturbation is such a big deal that we think it is necessary to confess it to a bishop.

I find it interesting that no Bishop, Stake President, Mission President, or Area authority has ever asked me this question in any interview.

Odd. My very first TR interview at age 12, the bishop specifically asked me about it. I didn't know what it meant and asked, "what's that?".

Pretty much every interview prior to marriage I was asked about it. On my mission, my MP interviews covered two areas: 1) did I masterbate, and 2) he would ask me questions about my companion and DLs.

"Prophets anciently and today condemn masturbation. It induces feelings of guilt and shame. It is detrimental to spirituality. It indicates slavery to the flesh, not that mastery of it and the growth toward godhood which is the object of our mortal life. Our modern prophet has indicated that no young man should be called on a mission who is not free from this practice.
- Prophet Spencer W. Kimball, The Miracle of Forgiveness, Pages 77-79, 81-82

Can someone please tell me which ancient prophets condemned masturbation? There are no scriptures on this subject. It does not induce feelings of shame unless you come from a culture that shames you for it. Nobody in the church said anything about masturbation untill long after Joseph Smith was dead. It seems the churchs' views on masturbation are based on scriptures that don't exist, puritan cultural views.
