Do you deny that this was your purpose, from the beginning?

And I have it on good authority that she's in a class way above you. Mock on, Darth, and maybe you can summon some decency (for a change), for someone who is way above you head and shoulders, and actually stands for fairness. Really, you are such a pathetic creature, and there's no comparison between you and Joan. If there were more people like her, and less like you, in the world, my hopes would be revived. You're really such a, well, a destroyer of faith. That makes you happy? Fine, carry on, but one day you will be called to account, in ways that you presently cannot even conceive.

My Heroine.

But nevertheless, mock on...

I expect nothing less from this board.

If somebody issues threats that, in effect, Yahweh will give their opponent a post-mortem larruping, I really cannot see why I need to treat that kind of thing with any more respect than if someone threatened me with the wrath of Marduk, Zeus, Thor, Taishang Laojun, the Tooth Fairy, or Mickey Mouse.

Rational arguments and evidence deserve a response in kind. But Voodoo spells deserve a belly-laugh, no more.

If the person issuing the threats is outraged by my lack of awe for their power/revenge fantasies, then they do not have to read my posts.

(by the way, can RayAgostini really think Darth J was comparing himself to Joan of Arc?)
Zadok:
I did not have a faith crisis. I discovered that the Church was having a truth crisis.
Maksutov:
That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.

As usual, and as ever, you're hostile and biased towards Mormonism. You are such a first class jerk, with the brains of a centipede.

Really, you want it plain? - You're just a piece of anti-Mormon excrement. Your opinion is worthless. Maybe a touch above Buff's.

What a pitiful person you are...but there's hope, maybe somewhere down the line.

Yes, I 100% deny that this was my purpose, from the beginning.

I deny it precisely because it wasn't my purpose, from the beginning or at any other time.

If you or anyone else wants to use this board to build up Mormonism and/or people's faith therein, then by all means, you're more than welcome to do so.

I literally won't stop you.
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

You want me to be blunt? That's because you're just a narrowminded twit.

Your track record shows otherwise, Shades.

No it doesn't, and you know it.

I have never, at any time, shut down any person who has sought to defend Mormonism. Nor have I ever come close.

What's the matter with you, anyway?

RayAgostini wrote:Scratch wasn’t invited, and that’s very probably the main reason for this thread. I’m sure most here will blindly accept Scratch’s “take” on all of this, but nevertheless….

Incidentally, Doctor, when you quote someone in a sig.line, you have a duty of disclosure with, at least, ellipses…

For example:

Doctor Scratch wrote:"A loaded pistol is very dangerous when it's aimed at your head."-Daniel C. Peterson, MDB, 4/13/09

The full context of this quote:

Daniel Peterson wrote:As of this afternoon, GoodK has declared his intention to sue me, with the express (and expressed) goal of financially destroying me, my wife, and my family.

This came as quite a surprise to me, frankly, but, in light of his threat, it seems inadvisable to participate here on MDB any more. I don't take the prospect of losing my house and my life savings lightly, even if it's somewhat remote. A loaded pistol is very dangerous when it's aimed at your head, whether the person holding it is an experienced gunman or a six-year-old child.

So this time it's absolutely for real, because essentially coerced.

I know that even the most baseless and frivolous lawsuits sometimes succeed, and I understand from personal experience that even a malicious lawsuit that will ultimately be tossed out by the judge "with prejudice" can consume many hours and even days, and a great many lawyers' fees, over the course of two or more years. I don't think it wise to provide GoodK and a perhaps very aggressive attorney with anything at all that might be used as a weapon against me and my family.

I wish all here the best, including -- very sincerely -- my several vocal detractors. Despite our obvious deep disagreements, I've found Dr. Shades to be fair and reasonable, and there are several others here whom I genuinely appreciate. I can always be reached at daniel_peterson@BYU.edu.

So, who here believes that Scratch was fair in the way he used this DCP quote?

Anyone have an answer to this yet, or are you all going to keep blowing sunshine up Scratch's ass?

Shades, can you split or move R's off topic (and mean) gyrations off the thread?

Well, maybe not. But you've created possibly the most biased anti-Mormon message board on the Internet. Perhaps it's just all "chance". A random happening. You know, crap happens.

I hope you sleep well at night. I wouldn't want to be in your shoes. You've had ample warnings. You created this board to screw Momons. Now, be honest. Oh, it's going your way, too!! Coincidence!!
