Just not seeing it in the US membership. Any "outflow" there is does not come from among the actives.

Elder Marlin Jensen is seeing it.

He certainly hasn't communicated it.

Apostates tend to come from among the actives.

They sometimes do. Among the rarest of the rare.

I wonder how many people have left the church just because they were so terribly bored with it all.

A much huger problem than NOMism.

There is obviously an outflow.

Yes. There always has been. Just not near the extent you guys are claiming.

Ah ha! bc which GAs gofer are you? You're NOT RR are you? Use to edit stuff in COB and hate me personally? Hmm? Once was my mummy's bishop? Well, if you are I got a serious bone to pick with you bud.

Nope. I'm just not afraid to question them when they visit our stake. What are they going to do? Release me?

Don't think it would help activity, but not allowing the Corporation to wag the Church is still a good idea.

I never read over there but I popped over to see what was up. Couldn't find the thread in question by Steve Benson but I do know why I'd never post there (besides not being an exmormon):

I won't post a link since it would be dead at some point. But seriously WTF?

Thanks Shades for not deleting old stuff. Old Stuff is awesome.

Now back to the show.

Excommunicating all the Democrats would make for some fun times.

But there is no way to modify this type of a trek. Those with health problems are simply left out.

When the Democrats are gone watching the remaining Republicans thin the herd of liberal and moderate Republicans would be even funnier. Is a 5% capital gains tax low enough or should it be 3%?

In addition to having "service only" missions, you could do a lot with the otherwise-unoccupied members in a larger ward who do not want "spiritual" callings for whatever reason. Having been in several leadership positions, I know that they exist. Even on a strictly volunteer basis I bet you could field quite a "local missionary" team - also service-oriented missions - from a large ward.

The ward my family moved into a while ago has an arrangement with some of the local service clubs - Kiwanis etc - to supply people for service projects. It's successful enough to attract at least one inactive (!) to sign up for projects.

Wouldn't worry to much about the Democrats, BC. From what I can see, most are either on their way out or already gone.
