You know and I know that if the LDS church published its financial report, the critics would do one huge bitch about the numbers. At the end of the day, the critics would not be happy. Such is the way it is. If I were a bitter critic, I would attempt to give it up. I would go to the sea, watch the babes play volleyball and just relax. I certainly wouldn't be spending my days and nights on the computer doing a bitch about this and that in the LDS church.
I intend to lay a foundation that will revolutionize the whole world. Joseph Smith We are “to feed the hungry, to clothe the naked, to provide for the widow, to dry up the tear of the orphan, to comfort the afflicted, whether in this church, or in any other, or in no church at all…” Joseph Smith

Have you seen the financial situation of LDS members in Russia? Not good. And it is that way in many parts of the world. Not much comes in from tithing aboard.
Did you have some sort of point?

What do you imagine that the church is hiding?

Yes...it takes good guidance to become a wealthy church organization. Or should I call it inspiration?

How do you know it is wealthy?

The Church, as a legal entity, owns practically nothing.
Its the wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Corporation of the President, Zion's Bank, and what used to be the Presiding Bishopric that have title to all the real wealth.
Sue the Church, and you'll be lucky to come away with the grass clippings off the local Stake House lawn...

It's no secret that most tithing comes from the US - and most us lifelong members are middle class and educated. They'd have to be pretty stupid not to be rich by now.
Is Goldman Sachs even more guided by God? After all, they're worth $36 billion.

I couldn't care less. Life is too short to be occupied with such things. Now that summer is approaching I am looking forward to the babes dressing in their 60's style remembering the good ol' days when I was young. Nothing like beautiful women with a flower in their hair.

In the Uk, Members of Parliament have to publish the details of their expense claims etc.
In the interest of avoiding any perception of impropriety perhaps all The General Authorities should be required to do likewise...
