Liberal Entitlement mentality is indeed a mental disorder. Plenty of organizations exist to help him get cleaned up so I don't buy his complaint that no one will hire him because he stinks. Once he does get cleaned up, no one will hire him if he displays the whiny crybaby entitlement attitude. What he needs to do is become grateful and positive.

I'm in for whatever can be done. Linking Darrick up with whatever social services can provide assistance, advice and direct support would be the first step, I suppose?

I agree that Darrick needs some medical help before he can contemplate a job situation. He looks pretty bad in that photo. I'm guessing that he has been off meds for quite a while.

It doesn't look as though the reporter from Willamette Week will be helping him to find that sort of care. He could be a good place to start in tracking Darrick down, though.

A board member in close proximity to Portland with a desire to help would be a very good thing.

Meanwhile, maybe we can come up with some funds to tide him over.

Darricks problems are far beyond his board participation. Nothing on the board pushed him to the brink. He was beyond the brink long before his participation here.

Darrick has a chemical imbalance in his brain. Medications are the only way to control that. When he is off his medications he cannot control his interactions with people in general. His interactions with people here is just an indication of his problem.

It's best just to try and find some help for him rather than cast aspersions.
