I think it is worth considering, having actually listened to his three kids yesterday, that they sincerely saw/see him as not only being a Christ-like and loving father, but also one who was called to serve as an apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Their witness should not simply be pushed aside because you don't believe.
