Yes, I offered them as examples. Not all prophesies have to be grand magical gestures, do they? Seems like "buy more toilet paper" would have been a more useful prophecy. And, the Catholic Church (at least in my area) started online church about twenty years ago, so I guess the Pope has a better relationship than Rusty with The Big Man Upstairs in terms of prophecy? That's the problem with calling yourself a prophet, seer and revelator.....those pesky expectations.Dr Moore wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 11:43 pmGiving Nelson credit for pandemic prophecy over "home-centered" church is a laughable farce that doesn't withstand even a few minutes of scrutiny.
That announced change in mid 2018 capped years, many years, of agonizing data review, test programs, surveys, feedback, focus groups and beta testing. Two hour church had been rumored since at least 2011 in my home ward, based on first-hand accounts of trial periods of 2 hour church windows around the country.
"Home-centered, church-supported" was, is, and always will be a marketing slogan attached to a human-researched response to waning attendance and growing inactivity -- particularly among youth.
Associating it with a prophetic pandemic preview is the height of cherry picking and lazy learning.

So you take them as prophecy as a presupposition? It appears you see him as prophet and are trying to force a prophecy into his words. After a couple of questions it seems apparent they aren't in any sense prophecy at all. It doesn't seem they hold up under a shallow effort of scrutiny.Sledge wrote: ↑Wed Jun 02, 2021 12:46 amYes, I offered them as examples. Not all prophesies have to be grand magical gestures, do they? Lol......... Dr, Moore is far more capable of informed discussion than you suppose. Heck, we all are. That you assume this is an echo chamber is so creative I betchta you plagiarized this from Peterson... That's his lame line for not engaging and imagining he comes out winning when he never has yet. Heh, I see you are in that echo chamber. And that one is actually a real one.

Sure, yes, if you view god as your personal genie then I suppose can make any silly thing up to measure against.Thranduil wrote:

Are you sure you had online church in 2001? Do you know what video streaming was like back then? That must've taken some serious genie magic, including magically creating infrastructure and compression technologies that didn't exist back then. Wow!
I regard it as an example of a prophet giving a prophesy, even if small. Prophecy just means prediction. I didn't say it was grandiose or bombastic, but it is an example.stem wrote: So you take them as prophecy as a presupposition? I'm not making assumptions. I've seen a few informed discussions happen, but mostly I see shitposting and clickbait. Is there anyone here, except me, who has a different point of view?ps wrote:Lol......... Dr, Moore is far more capable of informed discussion than you suppose. Heck, we all are. And do you notice how I'm usually fighting with the crazy insane right-wingers there?Heh, I see you are in that echo chamber. And that one is actually a real one.
