It seems that two of your mods there, Scottie and Jersey Girl, perceive that to be a problem, and it would be in keeping with your NOM purpose for your board. I would expect those two mods would be vigilant in enforcing such a rule if it was added.
I imagine you've considered this notion already--if not a hundred times--and have your reasons for not enacting it, but I thought I'd mention it.
If you are able to view my posts on the Cafeteria, you will see clearly that I have posted cricitically of DCP for starting Scratch related threads over there. Now, I have to qualify that by saying there have been some hit and miss threads/commentary on there that address this board and I am no exception to that.
DCP's habit of transferring his relationship with Scratch on to two other boards, earns him chronic offender status in my eyes. I criticized this early on over there in the hopes that it might serve as even a slight a deterrent but DCP seems either blissfully oblivious to his own part in this or he might just be indifferent to responsibility taking.
Sometimes we aren't aware of the broad impact of our conduct online. DCP is either unaware of it or he simply doesn't give a damn.

Given the fact that I am not a teen, I'd rather put it in terms that suit me.
I also want to say publicly to you (which is just how I function :-) that your hammering away at Liz caused her personal stress and served to rachet up her physical symptoms.
That's why you saw me come on to this thread and post to you. And just for future reference and so you have clarity on my position here, if I think you (or anyone else) is throwing undeserved and unrelenting mud on Liz and if this is impacting her physically...
I'm gonna start throwing it right back.
And I won't stop.

Re: A Meltdown of Epic Proportions
Jason,
There are those whom I respect and you are among these. I really hope this does not end up with hard feelings between us.
This is my understanding of the evolution of Liz's board.
It was a truly focused tight knit group of friends before the first uncovering with all of the "vultures" mess. I think Liz is a person without malice, worried about others feelings before her own. I believe the membership opened up a bit after this, and likely the purpose of the board evolved a bit more from the friend's aspect into the nom aspect.
Now with this latest uncovering, as well as a few more volatile members that have recently been added, I believe the board has moved even farther away from being able to sustain a balance of friends/nom for its purpose. You like Dan, I don't. You see value in Dan's posting, I see hurtful games. Dan, Nehor, Stem, BCSpace, Ray etc. and the likes of me, and some nom's arrayed on the opposite camp.
It's well beyond the original tight knit group of friends at this point. It seems to me that it will not have much of an option to either define itself and moderate to that, so somehow succeed in being a milder shades board.
One thing is for sure … it will be interesting to see how it evolves from here.

I'm not going to name names, because some of this was said in the chat room, and I don't think these folks deserve a targets on their heads.
Really this is more over the top hyperbole. And by the way it seems mostly what started most of all this is your sig line.
Actually, you'd have to say that it started with Dan. He was the one who made the very first "assault rifle" comment. Wheat/Will picked up on that and wrote the post that's currently part of my sig line.
Why don't you try criticizing DCP for a change, Jason? I've never seen you do that. If this is a two-way thing, why not try a more equalized approach?

No: I was referring to the complaints about how "badly" he's being treated, criticism he's enduring, and his threats about leaving.
Dan actually has it pegged pretty clearly why he is a poster on my board. I invited him. No, he is not a NOM, but he is a friend. Just like I invited Blixa, who is not a NOM, but is a friend. Dan is a TBM. Blixa is a critic. Both of them, however, are friendly with me, and have interesting perspectives. I enjoy talking with them. That is really all there is to it.
That's fine. I guess it all comes down to what's more important to you: having a spot where all your friends can hang out, or having a spot with those friends of yours who are capable of being civil and getting along.

Then you have not been paying attention. I even said here that he should just ignore and that he has a bad habit of not letting go of things.
That said I think it is clear your lengthy campaign was far more than he deserved.
Now I am exiting this thread I think. More and more message boards and these types of things mean less and less to me. Too many take them all too seriously.

Nor will I until the wrong is righted; liz opened her board to public view, as a move to disinfect the pustules that Dan was infecting it with. And then I stopped.
