Are we really better off with Kevorkian in jail? Is America a safer place without him on the streets? I don't see any reason for him to be in jail.
Well, he helped murder my mother's college roommate so I'm not impartial on this matter.
How did he help in that murder ( is assisted suicide not the right term in this case ) ?
What do you think I mean. But I'm a religious person so you're not interested in my opinion.
I'm not interested in hearing about fairy tales and pie in the sky.
So let me understand something, your mother's college roommate solicited and paid for Dr. Kevorkian's services.
And Kevorkian gets called a murderer for risking his own personal freedom to help this person in a medically safe and humane manner.
I think it is a good time to refer back to the OP of this thread.

I say this as a liberal LDS Democrat who may or may not be an idiot, but nevertheless refuses to shut up.
I don't know why it is deemed offensive to be asked to keep a belief in fairy tales to yourself, especially when such beliefs interfere with public policy.
If said beliefs were true, seems like said believer would be content in knowing that they are right and are on the right path.
Shut up!
No, you shut up!
You talkin' to me?
Yeah, I'm talkin' to you. Whatcha gonna do about it?
Oh yeah? Think yer tough, right?
Yeah, I'm tough!
Oh yeah? Yer Mutha!
Oh yeah? Screw you!
Screw you too!
Did anything there help, GoodK?
:-)
Failure is not falling down but refusing to get up.

With all due respect, it appears to me that many folks with views similar to yours are trying to restrict my right to express my opinions in society generally. I've been tolerant on this MB of your views even though they greatly differ from my own. Who is the extremist here? It's you.
Who the people who are trying to restrict free speech in America today. They are mainly from the left:
1) Speech codes on colleges
2) Shouting down people who say anything negative about homosexuality.
3) Attempts to reimpose the fairness doctrine
4) Campaign finance "reform" - it restricts free speech and has done little or nothing to improve elections (in fact, it's been negative).
I note that circa 1989 tax dollars were being used to attack Christianity - piss Christ art, for example. Now those courageous folks in the media refuse to reprint cartoons some Muslims don't like. They know that people can criticize Christianity without risking life and limb but that is NOT the case for Islam.

Please just shut up about your stupid fairy tales. No one wants to hear them.
To be a liberal or a democrat is to be a traitor to country.
To be a liberal or a democrat and LDS is to be a traitor to God and country.
Hmmm
I will tell that to Marlin K. Jensen, a democrat, and Bob Crockett, a democrat, and my SP and former SP now an area 70 and Pres Faust and Hugh Brown and the list goes on.
