Don't be ridiculous. You're nothing if not intelligent and substantive!

I'm glad you said it first!

There is a group of critical posters who I relate to easily and another group that doesn't relate or have interest to me. But I don't want to name names of current posters.

People who don't post actively these days, who I related to early on, were Don Bradley, Who Knows, and Addictio.

Not who you like.
Not who is your e-friend.

Who "speaks the same language" as you? Whose expressions are so smiliar to your own ideas and positions?

Nobody. It's a sad truth I've come to accept lately. Absolutely nobody.

Harmony your disingenuousness in discussion is rather unappealing. As far as how he presents in discussion apparently Karyn had praise for him in that regard, for if she didn't it's doubtful she would have offered any praise whatsoever, and given any indication that she has re-evaluated beliefs she once held, thanks to him and the other fellow.

It's called synthesis, marg. It's possible to grab ideas from different posters, add a few of one's own, and post a complete thought, all without ever consulting you. Amazing, that.

And Karyn doesn't post here. Too bad you couldn't find a quote from here that illustrated your point. For all I know, you're Karyn in disguise. (We know a bit about disguises here.)

Well, for what it's worth, Harm, you have had a very positive influence on me. Your comments actually drew me to Shades' board to begin with.

You validated my feelings that it was OK to have disagreements with key doctrine like polygamy, and still make it work as a member.

Thanks, Liz. It's a sad thing, but I'm beginning to lean towards the idea that we are all islands, surrounded by shark infested waters. And when we venture out into the water, we get bit and we bleed and our hearts die a little faster than they might have if we'd just been smart enough to realize we should have stayed on our little island. I realize I should have figured this out years ago, because we all know I am old, but it's a character failing of mine that I simply have a hard time understanding some of the hard lessons of life. Things are hardly ever what they seem, and people like me are stupid, foolish, and vulnerable, and friends just... aren't.

I can't verify that, since Karyn doesn't post here. Too bad marg couldn't have found a post from here to justify her point. Maybe JAK just doesn't show well here.

Ya want me to dig her up for ya? I can try to do that. I can tell you why JAK doesn't "show well" here if you want to know that. If you look at his exchanges with Roger, you'll see that he shows well with Roger.
