Now you admit you make comments that mock belief in God, and we're supposed to believe that those 3 times are the only times you've ever done that? That, even though in those comments your tone in those posts drips contempt and you call Nehor "stupid", you're not really like that. You're a different kind of atheist; you only mock people who believe in God when it suits you, when you feel like it. Normally, you're quite respectful of people's belief in God.

First off, I don't consider mocking and ridiculing to be quite the same thing.

Secondly (and I'm pretty sure I've said this before), I don't care what you believe. I don't have any control over it and it makes no difference to me personally. I don't know you. You don't know me. If it somehow helps you to think I'm disrespectful of all god belief, go nuts! Enjoy!

Do you honestly believe that mocking someone for something is the same as calling them stupid for that thing? Is it at all possible that mocking is just... well... you know... mocking? Is ridiculing even the same as calling someone stupid?

I would think that someone like you who seems to enjoy a good joke from time to time could appreciate the difference.

When it's done with the repetition you do it, yes, I see it as calling someone stupid. I mess with my friends over their foibles all the time but I don't drone ON AND ON about them endlessly then complain about them not being able to take a joke.

The 'most' assertion I believe belongs to Harmony (not sure though, she might not believe it either). I've met many atheists and I don't think 'most' of them are like the posters I listed. If I gave that impression, I apologize. I categorically state that I do not think most X are Y. A lot of the X's that are Y are on this board though.

I agree that not all X are Y and that some Z are W especially considering that some W are X and Y, but if you think that not all A are B, you have another thing coming--they are sooo B it ain't funny.

And since you've got these few "examples" you've decided to ignore all the times I've stated that I don't automatically think someone's stupid for believing in god? Mocking is taken seriously, but being serious is taken as a lie? Is that it?
