If you look at those helmets, it looks like the Nephites (Romans) also had some Trojan and Viking aesthetics. Perhaps the Trojans were the Jaredites. Maybe Moroni married a Viking lady, since all of the Nephites were bad by then.

Kishkumen is working on showing how the Etruscans were the Jaredites.

Hmm, while he's busy doing that, I'll publish a paper at FAIR demonizing him and discrediting his work.

That is an anachronism. Red was a very rare pigment. It wasn't until the invasion of Mexico that Europeans had any significant access to the color red for clothing or art. This was from the cochineal insect.

As funny as this thread is, it is a good reality check for people who insist that Mesoamerica is the best fit (I've heard at least one person say it's the ONLY fit) for the Book of Mormon. The only way to make the Book of Mormon fit into Mesoamerica is to ignore much of the specific cultural, religious, and technological claims the text makes. That's no way to substantiate the historicity of a text.

"Arnold Friberg, who was commissioned by the Church to paint scenes from the Book of Mormon, seems to have clearly understood the compelling parallels between the Book of Mormon and ancient Italy."

Here is a better visual on that:

By the way, Darth, my wife nearly bust her gut looking at your Book of Mormon evidences, which she holds to be equal or superior to any connections that FARMS scholars have identified between the Book of Mormon ancient Mesoamerica. You Italian missionaries really dig on this hypothesis.

Do you think Friberg was a subtle comedian?

LOL. Probably not. In an unrelated note, he was also not buried in his LDS temple clothing when he passed recently. Huh.
