I don't know what the upshot of this is going to be. If people cave in to the kind of thugs that pushed through corrupt copyright legislation (stuff like the DMCA, which is being contested by librarians, academics and artists world wide since it's weighted on the side of corporate moneybags and not "starving artists") then I suspect I will pull up stakes.
i am not sure what there is to cave to. i don't get it. you did not get busted for anything, even with the nasa thing. so the sent a request, and it got taken down. big deal. and in the other case, you just had a vindictive douche try and put his wet sticky fingers on something and the hosts over reacted. there was NOTHING wrong with what anyone has done. i get the anxiety, and this thread has been absolutely fascinating to read, but i don't see any reasons to change anything.

I've not been able to keep up with all the drama and threats of lawsuits from SGW, Nemesis, etc. I haven't yet seen a sound legal theory that would be the basis of any lawsuit. Just a lot of hot air being spewed by some very angry and bitter people.
In any event, I would like to offer my law firm's services pro bono if any of these individuals should decide to proceed with a lawsuit. I have 14 highly competent and experienced litigators who handle these types of cases from time to time.

I've not been able to keep up with all the drama and threats of lawsuits from SGW, Nemesis, etc. I haven't yet seen a sound legal theory that would be the basis of any lawsuit. Just a lot of hot air being spewed by some very angry and bitter people.
In any event, I would like to offer my law firm's services pro bono if any of these individuals should decide to proceed with a lawsuit. I have 14 highly competent and experienced litigators who handle these types of cases from time to time.

I'm only half serious. There is some intel of unestablished truth that Simon has done contract work for the Church. I suppose it could be true. He is very secretive about the identity of his clients.

For what it's worth (and since it doesn't come with pictures, it's worth not much), I prefer to keep things the way they were, not the way they are. Mainly because I get hammered virtually every time I ding someone anyway, so can you imagine the pounding I'd take every time someone sent me a PM about a picture? Good grief, I'd never get out of the black and blue ward!
