I'm sure Droopy would love it if the Joanna Brooks type Mormons just resigned. The problem the church faces is men are leaving/going inactive and just not buying the myth at a higher rate than women. When the man leaves but the woman stays, the tithing goes away for that family, unless the woman has her own source of income. The role of women is to raise righteous children, creating the next generation of tithe payers, but young people are leaving the church in droves, despite being raised by faithful TBM women. The strongest demographic the church has right now is women, and if they start driving out the Joanna Brooks types, who probably pay their own tithing, what are they left with? Valiant stay at home moms, with inactive husbands, inactive or apathetic kids, and no tithing coming in.

My oldest has 30 year old friends who all cringe at the misogynistic patriarchy of the Church (past and still present).

I agree that you got quite a few vapid and non-serious responses, but if you were interested in thoughtful and considerate responses, then I'm not sure why you ignored mine.
