Again, I don't think it's a binary choice. It's not a choice of God "failing" necessarily. In fact, I can't wrap my mind around God failing at anything.

MG
If it’s not a binary option (it is) then what is your alternative option?
IHQ, you've been around a while. You have most likely heard me express my thoughts in regard to the way that God works with and communicates with mankind, including his prophets. There are many moving parts. When I came back from a hiatus one of my very first concerns was participating in a rehash of a rehash. You can go back and read what I've already written. Honestly? It wouldn't matter if I rehashed my views on this topic on this thread. It would simply disappear down memory lane and/or the 'memory hole' as most, if not all, of my contributions do.

A man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest.

To be fair, I didn’t expect you to provide a specific answer.
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

And to be perfectly clear, while at the same time being fair, I would have expected this to be your 'boiler plate' answer. You are too lazy to go back and read my somewhat voluminous writing on this topic.

Your unkindness towards me is noted. Your Prophet will be sad about that. But back to the point - There is no third option. Either God wanted a racist policy in place for 100 years, or He failed to prevent a racist policy being implemented for 100 years. Whatever response you can give will fit within one or the other of those two options. Let’s say you run with your God allowing His Prophets to make bad decisions, then your God has chosen to allow a racist policy to be operated for a hundred years, damaging generations of people. There is no escape from it being one of those two options, no matter what answer you give. You know this, which is why you haven’t answered. I suspect you want to go with God allowing men to make mistakes so that they can be held accountable, but that’s still God allowing racism (and the suffering of generations), and the leading astray of His Church.

MG - Can you provide a link to the specific threads or a summary? I’d be interested in understanding how you explain the issue.

There only needs to be one moving part. That is all.

Under my moniker/board name do a search using the search word, “evolution”. That would be a good place to start. :)

So no, you can’t provide a link and you can’t offer a summary. What a surprise. Not.

He won’t do that, because he knows I’ve accurately articulated the dilemma.
