Hard pass. I’ll stick with the outside view for now, and count on those who have lived it and come away disappointed for insight. It already gives me enough whiplash.

In my opinion, this is invaluable in helping to find unique ways of looking at the history of Mormonism. When you're raised in the faith, it's hard to shed the biases that are inherent in being taught to normalize and internalize 19th Century American frontier Protestantism as an authentic representation of 1st century Jewish and Christian cultic practices and beliefs. Not to mention all of the subconscious baggage and warped ethics and morals that come with thinking things like a guy marrying his adopted children is totally normal, as long as they claim that a god told them to do it.
