I see what you did there.

Glad you caught that one.

This isn't my first go around with something like that.

Someday I'll write about and share some of those experiences. Any story that has local LDS church and community leaders, after empty threats of church discipline, seeking out and paying for a witchcraft hex directed at me is a story worth telling.

Dr. VelhoBurrinho: While you are thinking about how to answer this crucial question, if you intend to do so, please keep in mind that you have prevented others (and perhaps also yourself) from access to your posting history. I have printed all the relevant items that you have posted. I mention this to caution you that you cannot dig your way out of holes you have dug for yourself in exchanges we have had on Dan's blog.

I also agree with Dan about reading run-on sentences.

Creepy Midge shouldn’t be criticizing people’s grammar for he lives in a glass house. Boy, these Mormon priesthood holders really aren’t doing the brethren any favors these days, what with openly admitting to stalking people, keeping files on them, and issuing hit pieces on perceived enemies.

He just keeps going, he sounds a little anxious about something.

I like the grammar criticism. The least of which signifies he has no rational counter argument.

And it is not like I didn’t know that I was being watched on that board, and here.

Dr. LOD:

Speaking of keeping going, his last 6 posts were all just responses to himself, no one else! He does seem very anxious.

And his point about all Maori agreeing with his position is odd on the face of it. Not even all Mormon Maori seem to agree, just based on the reading I’ve done. Have you read Gina Colvin’s review of Marjorie Newton’s latest work? She’s Maori, and she really doesn’t agree with Midgley’s interpretations.

I now don't think that Dr. VelhoBurrinho will respond. I assume that he now knows that his typical slash and run will get him booted. And he must also sense that there is nothing in what Rob Joseph has published that he can fault, including his essays on portions of the Maori historical narrative, that Dr. VelhoBurrinho insists that I invented, and have tried to thrust upon the poor helpless Maori Saints. He had to hear Rob claim that the Maori initiation in a whare wananga was remarkably like being Endowment in a Latter-day Saint Temple.

I would like to know exactly why he hates me. But I may end up not knowing the answer.

I still have to smile about those curious run-on sentences that he fashions.

It has now been four hours and no response from Dr. VelhoBurrinho. Why he is trying to figure out if he is going to respond, or how he might do so, I must point out that if Dr. VelhoBurrinho had been following recent gossip about me on the Shades board, he would have known that there is a book that should be in print in a month. And if he had bothered to even glance at the Contents, he would have noticed that it contains an essay on one of the key elements of the Maori Latter-day Saint historical narrative. It is the longest essay in that book.

So the speculation by Dr. VelhoBurrinho that Dr. Joseph would not approve of my own efforts to set out and defend the key elements of the Maori Latter-day Saint historical narrative from the criticisms of Marjorie Newton and others, is simply ludicrous.

I am now wondering if EV is Dr. VelhoBurrinho.

I think that VB does not think that my essays and reviews on the faith of Maori Latter-day Saints were peer reviewed.

Louis Midgley Dr. VelhoBurrinho 13 hours ago

Dr. VelhoBurrinho: I have made no "ourbursts" anywhere about what you call "cultural appropriation of native peoples." That has been your game beginning with your first remark about me over four months ago. This is not the place, nor the time, to describe my remarks as a "diatribe." I strongly urge you to address those two issues, and cease the florid language and insults. Or you will be given the boot.

——
Louis Midgley Dr. VelhoBurrinho 13 hours ago

Dr. VelhoBurrinho: I insist that you cease speculating, or I will ask Dan to block you from posting on his blog. One more such outburst and you're gone.

Are you now ready to admit that you are flatly wrong about my having invented the Maori Latter-day Saint historical narrative being something I fashioned and projected on Maori Latter-day Saints?

Oh no, man. You got it all wrong. The Endowment is more like when you are on the boat smoking the ganja and diving for the conch, then once you have caught the conch you share some of the ganja with it. Lime in the coconut, man. Not the whare wananga! Dr. VelhoBurrinho would know that. Are you looking for his address so you can share some conch and ganja?

This Rastaganja Pete seems to know his world cultures.

Moksha,

I noticed you pulled a Midge and responded to yourself on SeN. It’d be hilarious if you keep doing it, but match the Midge’s enthusiasm for self-contained dialogue.

I too suspect that that's what he thinks.

"Interpreter's" supposed lack of peer review is dogma over at his chosen online home.

  I missed that before. “Lack of peer review”? Oh no! We’ve been very clear about how playground peer review operates.

Time is beginning to run out for Dr. VelhoBuurrinho.

I was hoping that he would reveal what led him to post all that convoluted rubbish about me, and about Maori Latter-day Saints--over four months yet. Put another way, what generated his hatred for me?

https://www.patheos.com/blogs/danpeters ... 4780457432

On a more serious note, midge has stalked gemli for years, harassing him with obscene speculations about his personal life, he has insulted dozens of others and broken virtually every Patheos rule regarding interpersonal communication while defining his behavior as ‘having a little fun’, but disagreement with a paper he wrote is interpreted as “hatred.”

That’s a pretty fragile ego.

They check the conclusion first and if the conclusion conforms to the peer group, on to checking sentence structure and spelling. What more could one possibly expect from peer review?
