Does anything else happen over at MAD? You certainly act different over there.

You're right, it would be a mistake to imply that I never have rational conversations there. I've found that Steuss and Sargon, for example, are quite capable of substantive ineraction. But in visiting there today I was quite disappointed with all of the threads I opened. So much so that I decided to rant over here where people sympathize with such frustrations.

In what respect do you feel that I "act different" there than here?

How can they stop you from viewing the forums? I found that if I just delete the cookie from my computer and refresh the page, the forums appear and the page saying I am not permitted disappears. But I really have no idea what I am talking about.

My home ISP is banned. I can't even view. When I'm on the road or using my DH's computer, I can view and if I was interested enough, register a new name and post. It just seems like too much trouble, from what I've seen there in the last year. Nothing much of interest, and the people... well, they're not worth the trouble either, I suppose. I figure if they were interesting or had something interesting to say, they'd be posting here.

Things tend to be a little more vitriolic here.

I suspect that's in the eye of the beholder. PP and Merc swear more, but nobody here holds a candle to some of those folks on MAD (and I don't think I need to name names).

If by "things" you mean me, I assure you that it's largely a cathartic exercise. It's sort of like punching your pillow. Afterward, you don't feel so much like punching whoever made you mad. And then you can go have a civil conversation and realize that they're not so evil after all.
