Hey Runtum

bcspace has the vengeful, judgmental Jesus. Will has the Jesus who gives loyalty tests by demanding odd or immoral acts from his followers. Zee has the "nice" Jesus.

Yep, we make God in our image!

We all seem to think goodness/God is like us or how we want to be... so funny!

Man, I TOTALLY missed this opportunity in the drawing thread. Oh well, I was trying to keep things Terrestrial...

Lucretia MacEvil wrote:I voted for you, Liz, using my criteria of "Christ-like" which include only the purely good attributes of Christ and don't necessarily involve any acquiesence to commandments or church affiliation. Blixa also embodies those criteria, but I chose Liz because she does so under the onus of being an active member of the church, which hardly encourages the highest qualities of Christ.

I hope that's the "bust out the good label wine Jesus" and not the Mormon "hey turns out Jesus is Nobodaddy of the Old Testament" Jesus.

Either way, though, Lucretia, that's quite a compliment, and though undeserved, something I should try to live up to. Thanks for seeing bits of a better self in me...

I don't know why little Willy should wish Simon to leave apologetics to the professionals when he isn't willing to do so.

Well, the apologists claim there are no professionals, so I think Will was saying that he wished Simon would leave apologetics on this board to the people who have some ability. If that happened then maybe a handful of apologists would be left, and Will wouldn't be in that number.

I was being a bit sarcastic. Clearly, little Willy is no professional apologist either (or anything else except perhaps professional idiot).

[MODERATOR NOTE:

Doctor Scratch (and other interested parties),

There's a way to link directly to a specific post (rather than just a certain page within a thread, like what we see in the above link). To the direct left of the word "Posted" in the header bar above someone's post, you'll see either a green or a white icon that looks like a miniature sheet of paper. Simply click on that and your browser will display the direct link to that post in your browser's "address bar."

Following that process, the direct link to the post to which Doctor Scratch was referring is:
