Why Intellectuals Cannot Become REAL Christians

The term gospel is used for many things. My own definition works for me.

Jesus the Christ is the Son of the Father. He came to the earth and took on human form. He was killed. He took on the sins of the world. He did rise from the dead on the third day. He sits at the right hand of the Father in heaven. Jesus will judge the living and the dead.

To define the judging we need to define the two top commandments.

1. Love your God with everything you have.
2. Love your fellow man as yourself.

In the love of God is the faith we need to have. No where in this is a church.

D&C 18:5
5 Wherefore, if you shall build up my church, upon the foundation of my gospel and my rock, the gates of hell shall not prevail against you.

If its after YOUR definition that works for you I suppose we would have to call it your gospel.

The hallmark of Christ's church is not its inclusiveness. Everybody can image that they love God and love their fellow man. Relative to what? Exactly, relative to themselves the image of their own idol which is always after the likeness of the world.

The point of Christ gospel being exclusive is in submitting to HIS definition which is after his image and likeness and what he will own as his gospel. Where we will do what he has done which is the will of the Father in all things. The Father's will is that we believe in his beloved son and be born of him.

To have heard of this concept does not bestow competence or ownership of what it is. It is what it is. What it is not is our own definition. That is not contrite, meek, lowly of heart or of a broken heart. In other words it is not the death of the natural man.

Obviously, you do not like that I judge who is, and by the same token, who is not saved.
The world demand that such a thing be an absolute mystery that no man can know. It is the easiest thing in the world to judge and be competent at. All those who are quickened by the baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost will act after the same manner showing that Christ is indeed in them and that they are of the Father. What that manner is will be the most obvious thing about them. It is not hidden and not complex.

But for now I will not say what it is. Lacking this mannerism people have judged themselves already. Those lacking are not lacking because of my say so. They remain the natural man and cannot help but fight against God and the gospel of his Christ. Even if they waste their entire lives thinking that they are in with Christ and part of his church and assisting in its growth.
That is what I call the pre-church. Hopefully some few will see their folly and seek with all their hearts to cross over and earnestly do the commandments to get to the other side.

There are many who have never had an experience or filling with the Holy Ghost. Some of these people love God and wish to have that experience. What stops them I can not say. That is between God and that person.

What you say about judging is more recognition. You have a sense who has been touched and who has not. But like myself I doubt if the future of each individual is revealed in you. So I don't know if in the near or distant future someone will make that contact. So I have no opinion as to the destination of a soul. I can only see a spark or not. In like manner I can discern evil.

The Bible is very clear that those who think them self wise will be taken in by the world and they will not see the light of truth. The world will blind them of the truth. But that blindness is not forced on them. Just as the light of Christ is not forced on people. It is a choice. If those who embraced the world knew what they were doing they might take a new direction. But even that knowledge would not turn many. Many who had Christ stand before them could not see the truth that was manifest before their eyes.

Joh 6:26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

The real question is why is it that some people of the world will cast off the world. I know how it happened to me. I came to realize that the world is not the ultimate reality by my understanding of physics. Once that block was removed then the Holy Ghost came to me. Some don't need that path. They just look around and know what they see is a shell and they seek what is behind it. To me it is the spirit which drives us here. For me a study of physics for another just to look into a babys eyes. Which event is the trigger does not matter. I believe it is our own spirit working in us that drives that seeking. And it is the acceptance of the world which drives down the spirit. So for those in which the world is strong they have a tough road. By far intellectuals embrace the world and teach the world to others.

I would like to point out that it does Christ no service to expand an understanding of him that does not follow his directions and commandments. He called for all who would come unto him to become ONE. If not then they would not be counted his.

So, um, this requires hammering out differences and getting down to the bone of exactly what Christ expects. And a real baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost is where it only begins. When this is real and true God teaches everyman and draws them into a oneness. Those who follow this way will become Zion.
