I am not monitoring you at all. I just took you to task. But I have not called you names or written tasteless posts such have been done on this board toward defenders of the LDS church. We need to keep perspective.

True. And when the board loses its negative energy maybe more defenders will come and visit and stay a while. But for this to happen, there will need to be dialogue and discussion. Not name calling and personal attacks.

Sometimes it's better to say nothing, or to say encouraging things. Other times, one must make a stand for his friends, even if the end result is not good in the eyes of others.

I admit I have not read that thread very closely, but I kind of got the impression that MnG was implicitly "laying some smack down" on DCP and FARMS too, without actually naming names.

Please play nice. Why Me's clothing choices and sexual proclivities are not the subject of this thread, his double standard is.

I think that Buffalo's example was crass, but why me's double-standard was his point. Why me frequently tries to tell other Mormons that they aren't "walking the walk" in some respect or another, but his own views and recollections of life in the LDS church reveal a personality that is deeply out of touch with the church's standards. Posters like Buffalo wouldn't invoke such personal aspects of his history if he himself did not frequently attack other posters personally.

Says the man who attacked my pastor, called my believing LDS husband an "anti-Mormon," and claimed that I'm the kind of Protestant who would have violently persecuted and murdered Mormons in the 19th century.

Which is why nobody takes your high-minded calls for kinder dialogue seriously, why me. Whatever "negative energy" comprises this board, you are one of the most consistent contributors to it.

I think that she is full of baloney. She should take you guys to task for bashing Daniel. She hasn't to my knowledge. I see no mercy there and no grace which is one reason why you guys like her.

I have seen it all before: love, love, love...god is love yayaya...but when it comes to taking critics to task for not having mercy or love...well...one can hear southern crickets while sitting on an alabama porch.

This type of nonsensical post is representative of why I believe that apologetics have no place on message boards. This attitude completely contradicts the scriptures and everything that we are taught in Church. I wish that every online LDS poster was like M&G.
