Let's all say a prayer that God will finally end the life of fat Tommy Monson and send him to his coffin. Then we can deal with the nazi.

O God, hear the words of my mouth, "May Tommy expire".

No. Just mad at the Goddamn church, again. Am getting ready to go party tonight, though. Will take a quick nap.

Bye.

I don't think Paul is drunk (he can answer better for that). I think he is just filled with the joy of living a lifestyle outside Mormonism. I find his gritty honesty refreshing and amusing.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

Liz, do you still belong to and contribute to this church that holds steadfast to it's racist teachings?

There was a different thread a while ago where I made the point that anyone still paying tithing was actually funding the Church's homophobic activism. Didn't go down well.

But I guess if one is paying tithing then one is funding the racist teachings of the Church.

Yup. It doesn't go down well because it forces people to realize that payment of tithes or support of the church through volunteer efforts is indeed supporting everything the church stands for, no matter how much one protests or picks and chooses.

I strongly disagree. I certainly don't endorse racist or bigoted treatment of anyone in the name of the Church. And I would never allow my funds to go towards such activities. Now, I do not pay tithing to the Church because I feel that it should go to God's purposes and those are not some of them. And volunteering at the Church to help people in need is not helping support an agenda of hate as you characterize it. It is merely helping people in need.

I use to put my tithing in an account...saved for tithing settlement. One day a stranger knocked on my door and asked for work...willing to work for doing anything and any amount....he was desperate. I said I had no money to pay him.

I took his card. I repented. Called him a couple days later. Hired him to do some carpenter work that I was more than capable of doing myself...and paid him 2 grand from my tithing account.

Even though they went after me for my connections with John Dehlin, this is ultimately what the church used in my church discipline interrogations to justify stripping me of my TR and church callings...and putting a sticker on my file as an apostate.

I have not paid tithing since, and don't regret my decision to hire that stranger at all. I only wish I had figured it out sooner.

Oh yeah, by the way....I married a "lamanite." Didn't realize how racist the church was until she patiently pointed it out to me. Im embarrased by my church teachings.

She was an active LDS until all this john dehlin business happened. She decided that we either go to church as a family, or we stay home as a family. She is a good soul...regardless of her Book of Mormon "cursed" marking.
