Oh, and the term "watch" is spelled correctly in the form field on the settings page. Its misspelled in the WWW address. I don't know why, but you'd have to ask Wordpress about it.

I'm only the piano player.

You people really are sick, malignant, spiritually, intellectually, and morally tumorous people.

Speaking of tumors.... If you can compare Joanna to a man, I think it's open season for you. All, who does this fine looking character resemble?

I would love to read it Droop but paragraph length sentences just lose me. Maybe I am dumb but your fog index is off the chart even more on your blog then usual for you.

I don't think you are dumb, in any way. However, this is the way I write, and believe me (if you could see the final philosophy paper I wrote on Foucault for my European social philosophy class), this is very toned down from my usual prose style (which I think you've seen enough of here, in any case, when serious, philosophical dialogue has taken place (and hell is still frozen over from the last time this happened)).

I write, and developed a writing style long ago, based upon the way I think, and also upon the style and structure of writing I had seen other philosophers and intellectuals who I had read and studied in my youth (from Abraham Maslow and Fung Yu Lan to George Santayana) use in the articulation of their ideas, and combined these various influences with my own idiosyncratic style. it is a consciously pedagogical style, that is, I don't want parts of it to be overtly clear and easy to digest. I want a reader to have to think through and analyze what I'm saying, concept by concept, and logical connection upon logical connection, so that actual comprehension takes place within the reader in an active, not passive sense. I do not intend to alter that style when I write seriously. However, this is a blog, in which I intend to follow Brooks' writings week by week, and critique and analyze her arguments and perspectives. Hence, I've already toned it down quite a bit, and made it more like a traditional blog post (reminiscent of the stuff I wrote for the Frontpagemag.com blog several years ago.

I don't see these sentences as all that daunting, and I like to link chains of concepts and logical inferences together that way to create a flow - conceptual and logical - within the text.

The high school clique here that sniggers and rolls its eyes at this (who claim to be "educated" and wave their degrees in one's face at every opportunity) don't affect me in the slightest. The continual stream of A grades on my thesis papers, in my two years at university hear, don't persuade me that I'm doing something wrong.

I do understand that there are different kinds of writing for different audiences in different venues. Indeed, Meridian Magazine showed me the door because I kept writing "above everyone's head," as they said. That was a lesson, but this is my blog, and so, well, I'll do it, as Old Blue Eyes sang, "my way."

I have a long essay I wrote some years ago here called The Philosophical Implications of the Doctrine of Preexistence. You should see it, Jason. If my first blog post crossed your eyes, this would cause kidney stones.

Based on most of the responses (hatred, vitriol, and vicious personal cut-downs ) I received here when I posted the links, I'm sorry I bothered to come back here and say anything.

I still have your number here, "LDS," as well as most who would fall within the class "all" around here:

Droops,

How did you manage to get your name tag wrapped up in the bookbag strap?

What is it that they "hear," exactly? And I have to say, Droopy--I'm really disappointed that you changed the name of the blog. It would be much more interesting and appealing if you had left it, "Joanna Brook W'Satch."
