No one is in charge. There are no leaders. No buildings. How do we get things done without leaders? We don't. We try to bear each other's burdens, and help the poor in the group. No money is collected centrally. People post needs, and those who want to fill those needs, send $$ to those in need.

Group meetings take place over continuous live group messaging and occasional video chats, with a group that is scattered across the US. The part of the group that lives in Utah gets together every month or so to hang out. We spend our time talking about the gospel and the scriptures, and making crude jokes.

We tolerate a wide variety of viewpoints. Not all of us are impressed with Snuffer as a prophet, we have a triad of polygamists in our group.

D&C 89 is a greeting and not a commandment. We have no creed that anyone must ascribe to, but most of us believe in the doctrine of Christ as in 3 Nephi 11.

We're not Zion, but we get along really well and have built some really close friendships over the years.

I am excited to hear about this. Please give us more details. It is interesting to know what people are actually doing in this vein.

What else do you want to know?

Just looking at today's chat, we've been talking about Moses 7, Daymon Smith's new book about the Silmarillion and the Book of Mormon, the guy in Brazil who says he has the golden plates (we're...skeptical), a Buddha manga. That's the highbrow stuff.

On the more lowbrow end, stuff like Rick and Morty, the clown fiesta of the process of writing a remnant governing principles, and bitching about the LDS church.

What fascinates me is how technology can lead to a closer interaction in many ways than most ward settings--our meetings, 'church' if you want to call it that, is going on literally 24/7--we drop in and out whenever we want. Most of us have met in real life though--those outside of Utah meet up when they happen to drop by Utah, we had a weekend conference last month in Mesquite where about 10 families came to hang out. No orgies or spiritual wifery, although many of us are discovering alcohol for the first time (most of us were pretty TBM before all this).

For some reason I'm still hanging on to Church wit some hope that some of what is discussed in this thread will come out, soon, quickly. Then I go to church and realize it ain't happening. The next week, I rinse and repeat. The frustration and pain helps me somehow.

I’m glad you finds some of the ideas on this thread appealing, Stem. I am sorry that you will not see them materialize in the LDS Church anytime soon.

So you are affiliating with the Remnant Church then. How did you first get involved?

I first heard about DS on LDSFF. Been reading his stuff for about 5 years. About 4 years ago some of the LDSFF folks invited me to the group. We aren't involved at LDSFF much anymore, and new members to the group are just various friends we invite in.

Serve liquor at the temple ceremonies. "Be filled with the spirit(s)"

All actors and actresses in the ceremony presentation are nude, live or recorded playback.

Men and women sit next to each other.

Hell, participants can choose to be nude.

Horny couples may touch each other during the ceremony.

In 420 friendly states, allow the smoking of certain herbs, or at least THC vape pens.

Redesign the garments to be hawt n sexy.

That certainly qualifies as a fantasy!

You are mistaken...it is "nourish and strengthen our bodies," that is unless your fantasy church reverses this SOP.

What is kinda weird, is that I thought my father invented the nourish and strengthen line.
