The closest I have ever seen him come to actually apologizing was when he issued his "Boring Clarification" after it was pointed out that he'd been engaging in rank gossip about Mike Quinn's sexuality.

The problem with DCP is that he has no idea what's right, so it's impossible for him to then determine what's wrong. How can he admit when he's wrong when he has no clue it happened? It might be tempting to write it off to (false) pride, but given the quality of his arguments, it's difficult to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Seriously, for someone with such a reputation for intelligence, he's incredibly dense. He's got all the smarts of a lamp post. Clearly, it doesn’t take much to impress Mormons. I suppose most of us already knew that.
