I agree. Apparently those "rules" aren't followed too often on this board. Also the comments about Wade's sexual orientation have been seen in this forum the last week.

Welll.... I hope you know I was joking!?
No, to be honest, I didn't. Maybe the cat got my sense of humour. After all, I condone stoning for sabbath-breaking. But do I detect a little anti-Mormon sentiment in your posts, Mon? It's a free board. You can say whatever you think, Mon. I don't care if you're sympathetic to Lilburn Boggs. As long as you say so. Then I can reach for the Baygon ;)

I have NO idea who Boggs is??!! Or Baygon??
I think I've been anti-Coggins a wee bit... and Charity sorta got me uppity with her "slut and nuts" remark (of course those are not applicable to me -- just ask bcspace 'cause uh, I've never had the pleasure of a man) -- so maybe my posts have been a bit less reserved than usual. I do think certain things about LDS are a bit odd, of course I think most thought in mainstream Christianity is a bit odd too. I don't care what people choose to believe, though, as long as they don't hurt others. I'm not convinced that any of the cons in the Church outweigh the pros. Anyway, I was joking. I actually do like Dr. Peterson -- a lot! His humor is barbed and quick -- I dig it! I used to sorta like Charity too -- :( Don't know what's going on there???!!!
Anyway, if I'm coming off as crass I should watch myself -- cause I don't intend to be rude to certain beliefs. Although, there is one thing that bothers me about the LDS Church which I've spoken of often -- and it's really my concern for members becoming disenchanted with anti-LDS material if they aren't prepared for it and it happens to be accurate. I've spoken of this often -- not as a criticism per se of the Church -- merely a SINCERE concern about this.
Well, it was a joke. I shoulda done a ;)

If the power of the Priesthood is used to curse we are told to do the ordinance privately and not as a spectacle for your amusement.
Nothing is stopping you from cursing him in private then. by the way, is this in the CHI? Where were you told this? Have you ever performed the sacred ordinance of shaking the dust from your feet?

Mon, I'm an unprincipled flip-flopper who was once an Internet anti....whatever. I've done more back-flips than a dolphin on steroids, if you believe Scratchie. I simply cannot be trusted! So don't listen to what I have to say, unless you want to be de-certified by an insane asylum, but here goes anyway.
This board does NOT present a true picture of Mormonism. It is irrationally distorted. You know what the irony is, Mon? The kind of men women are really searching for are not here, Mon. Many of them are in Mormon chapels on Sundays. And the ones who are hypocrites and users are not real Mormons - they should get their ass booted. You want to be respected and loved? You want to be honoured as a female? Look to men who have strong principles to live by, regardless of what was taught in 1890! Leave that to Dr. Who.
For heavens sake, Mon, stop reading this anti-Mormon CRAP (but that's your choice). If you want my honest opinion, this board is more often than not a pile of anti-Mormon S***. Get the real story by actually going to Church one Sunday. You never know - you might find your soulmate. And his love and loyalty might far outweigh any "ominous mythologies".
But that is not what you may want at this time.

It is not in the CHI. I was taught by Priesthood Leaders. I have never used it.
I do not make a habit of it nor do I intend to. The Priesthood is given to man to bless and aid others. Only in rare circumstances should it be used in any other way. I have thought about using it before but God always strongly told me no. Infymus, this thread is not one of those temptations.
I much prefer to use the Priesthood to heal, to help others through trials, and to administer the ordinances of salvation.
