Don
Where did he "admit to being wrong"? I must have missed that.

Pahoran just says he was asking a question about whether the CARM poster was Kevin, not accusing Kevin of posting under that alias. So he doesn't really admit to being wrong about accusing Kevin. But that's as close of an admission as I would expect.
I actually see people admit to being wrong here maybe once a week or so. I'll let you decide if that's frequent or not.
This is another thread where people on this forum show just what kind of family we are on this forum: a dysfuntional family who deeply love each other. However, for lurkers who may skim the threads, we are a bunch of people who seem to want to out each other whenever possible. I think that they find it kinda scary not realizing that relationships on this forum go back several years.
I intend to lay a foundation that will revolutionize the whole world. Joseph Smith We are “to feed the hungry, to clothe the naked, to provide for the widow, to dry up the tear of the orphan, to comfort the afflicted, whether in this church, or in any other, or in no church at all…” Joseph Smith
As to Pahoran admitting he was wrong, he says he accepts Kevin's explanation. I think this is good enough. And, yes, I think it amounts to admission that his earlier claim, counter to Kevin's explanation, had been wrong.
by the way, I don't recall having ever been fond of Pahoran's posting style in past discussions, and in fact I remember criticizing it. However, after now encountering Pahoran's new posts after not seeing anything from him for a while, I'm noticing a distinct toning down. Pahoran is much nicer and more respectful. I like the new Pahoran style much better. Surely I'm not the only one who can notice this--or give him some credit for it.

I congratulate you on the success of your poison pen campaign. You must be very proud.

Yes, I'm sure that your expression that this is so veddy veddy "strange" is every bit as honest, sincere and forthright as your pose of pure, disinterested, high-minded concern about "misogyny in academia."
Nobody has ever mastered the "sincerity technique" like you have.
[SNIP]
In other words, you are relying upon gossip.
[SNIP]
Besides, the "C" word doesn't match the description of a personal attack. It's vulgar and insulting, certainly; but it doesn't rise to the level of anything as concrete as a personal attack.
[SNIP]
It's a disgraceful dog-pile that reflects far more badly upon you than it does upon its target.
[SNIP]
Like the other "c" word, which is immensely popular around here, and which I fully expect to see you use, as you devolve towards bog-standard anti-Mormonism, it is merely the verbal equivalent of growling.
[SNIP]
I think the highlighted word should be correctly spelled "useful." Rollo Tomassi, hardly an ally of Will, directly commented on the post before it was edited, and did not see the "c" word therein. But that doesn't suit your vendetta, does it?
[SNIP]
But I will concede that this is not merely a dog-pile by anti-Mormons. It is a dog-pile by anti-Mormons and a few of their "useful idiots."
This is the kinder, gentler Pahoran, Don?
Sorry. Not seeing it. He continues to assume the worst of the worst out of anyone who disagrees with him.

Actually you were a kinder and more gentle poster in the past. What has happened to you in the meantime is a mystery. Your posts are now bitter, sassy, and spiteful and full of spite. Something happened to you along the way.
