asbestosman, I wouldn't put your in real life information out there. If you ever start to express public doubts about the church, you can be sure some tattletale who never understood Orwell will report you to the SCMC.

Thanks for the kind words, Blixa. Facebook is first and foremost a family connection for me and secondarily for childhood friends and missionary acquaintances. I think there is only one Facebook friend I've never met in real life but who was a college mate of a good friend of mine.
I also use Linkedin for social networking. Since I don't have family that one--it being mostly a professional networking site--I am more inclined to add people there who have a decent idea of me online. However, I'm still a bit cautious with that, and I haven't gotten too far with it yet either--not many contacts.
