Yes, the Internet came to a screeching halt with Norton's post. Facebook was overloaded with links. I even heard Twitter was down for fifteen minutes because of the news. Everyone was talking about this video that is definitely real.

I read somewhere that the GOP hired some Blackwater contractors to silence Mr. Norton, only to be thwarted at the last second by the removal of this epic now-deleted thread. Want proof? I'll post it on November 7, 2012 so as to not give the Romney campaign time to cover their tracks.

I actually discovered the truth on accident back in 2001 when I ran across the whole Kinderhook plates story told from a non-Mormon point of view.
