ETA: For those who missed it (that would be Stemelbow in his forthcoming riposte), the double standard is it while people here think that the Maxwell Institute does not have the same standards for its publications as most academic, peer-reviewed journals, it can be true that it has some standards.

'course I'm okay. the insults are lobbed at DJ, you'll make note. that dude can't handle the truth--but I think he can so I lob them for his benefit. I don't universally dispense them.
Remember when you were so concerned about the tone here?

Of all the things I love about the unintentional comedy of Mormonism, the defenders of the faith being oblivious to their playing the role of the straight man might be my favorite.
When I was in junior high school, there were special ed kids who rode on the same bus with us. There was always a group of stupid, immature boys who loved to gang up and make fun of one particular Down’s syndrome kid.
That’s what the last few posts on this thread remind me of.

Wow...I've seen people occasionally say mean things to the stem but I have never seen anyone equate him to a "down's syndrome kid". Ouch.

I'm not sure Stem would appreciate being compared to a Down's Syndrome child. Stem is no "special ed" kid. He holds his own pretty well.
Maybe another analogy?
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

Sure he does.
Observing this place has been extremely enlightening.
I've also observed things at a site called thefoyer.org. Between that place and here, it's really been an eye-opening experience.
