I don't think so. It is just an observation.

As is this:

You're an obsessed stalker. And a hypocrite. Back off.

A blacklist (or black list) is a list or register of entities who, for one reason or another, are being denied a particular privilege, service, mobility, access or recognition. As a verb, to blacklist can mean to deny someone work in a particular field, or to ostracize a person from a certain social circle.

Nope. Not even close as you can plainly see.

You go right ahead and explain how your proposed solution to dealing with people like Consiglieri is something other than denying certain individuals a particular privilege, service, mobility, access or recognition, or to deny someone work in a particular field, or to ostracize a person from a certain social circle.

Hint: may involve non-human spirits inhabiting human bodies.

bcspace thought process:

"Since I claim that denying men of African descent the priesthood is not racism, then I have to also maintain that denying access to teaching opportunities is not blacklisting. (And, by the way, those damn Democrats should not be getting temple recommends.)"

Fantastic, Everybody Wang Chung! They put on unforgettable shows! You're going to have a blast.

I sure do love those Wilco boys, but today is all about Levon, of course. I've been listening to him since I was a few days old.

Dear Levon,

Take a load off, Sir. We'll feed your dog.

Love,

Consig has done a lot of venting lately. I haven't seen too many positives posted by him about the LDS church. Nor has defended it very much on this forum.

Liz wrote:Everyone has a right to vent. What you fail to realize is that those who vent about different things normally do so because they have a lot invested in what they are venting about.

If you have not seen positives regarding the LDS Church which Consig has posted, then you have not read him very thoroughly. ("Mote-beam" and all that. )

Oh, I've done that. I've been dis-invited from doing that too. I was told my questions (and statements) were disruptive even though I could cite scripture and other sources to validate what I was saying was true. I tend to only go to sacrament meeting (the first part now) because when I thought about it, I agreed with their observation. I really wasn't going to GD to learn anything anyway. Mostly I went just to have some fun and that shouldn't have been my motivation.

ldsfaqs wrote:Sounds like your Ward has finally gotten to know you like us internet Mormons have, all your false judgments concerning the Brethren, your degrading of various doctrines, your misrepresentation of events from history, etc.

While we are waiting breathlessly for ldsfaqs to come up with just one instance of my teaching "anti-mormon" items to my GD class (it is doubtless taking so long because there are so many from which to choose), I want to set the record straight on the above underlined canard that faqs likes to continue to level at me about my misrepresenting church history events.

This comes from my days on the MAD Board in a discussion of something (I can't even remember what it was) where faqs (in his then-incarnation as Obiwan) was getting heated with me.

To illustrate whatever point it was I was making, I mentioned Joseph Smith getting into fisticuffs with his brother at a church meeting. I managed to misstate the actual type of church meeting it was where this happened. Even though the point had nothing to do with what type of church meeting it was, but rather with the fracas that took place, Obiwan took it upon himself to crow at how woefully uninformed I am about church history, that I misrepresent events in church history, and that I must have surely done so when I was GD teacher.

Just setting the record straight.

Now, ldsfaqs, were you going to answer my CFR about just one "anti-mormon" statement I made to my GD class?

All the Best!

Oh my, you terrible anti-mormon. Pointing out something that was factually true, even though you got the details slightly askew. Well, consig, I'd love to sit in on any GD class you teach. I'm sure it would be interesting (or more interesting than those a rarely attend now). by the way - I think anti-mormon is a term often used by conservative Mormons to denegrate other Mormons who are more liberal and interested in the truth and despite the fact they share a profound belief in God and the gospel too.

Thanks, Tobin. You are welcome (or would have been) any time.

And just to make sure I am being 100% clear, I brought up Joseph Smith's church fight on the MAD Board, not in GD class. It is possible I might have given the opportunity, but it never came up in class. I was pretty discreet in what I said, at least for an anti-mormon.

I think the worst thing I did was my last class when I talked about the fact that "feet" in the Old Testament is frequently used as a euphemism for the male genitalia.

Which gives Naomi's advice on how to catch a man a more lusty feel.

Ruth 3:4 And it shall be, when he lieth down, that thou shalt mark the place where he shall lie, and thou shalt go in, and uncover his feet, and lay thee down; and he will tell thee what thou shalt do.
