But it did make me wonder - do fundamentalist Mormons receive revelations by sticking their heads in a hat?
Following up on one thing - I think the reason Barb wants Sarah to go back to the Mormon church is because she really doesn't want her to grow up and become polygamous. I think Ben's summary of how he understood polygamy (it's ok if his first wife doesn't turn out to be "the one", and he falls in love with someone else, he'll just marry her as number two) really shook her up. For her to reach out to the man who accused Bill of molesting their children (that was the insinuation at least) when she was so angry at him for doing so indicates some level of desperation to get Sarah out of the lifestyle. It is also a betrayal of Bill.
I think Barb's motivations are maybe even more layered. I'm not so sure she really wants Sarah to attend "an LDS church" (not the correct construction, I think---"the church" or "the LDS church"---mormons don't distinguish individual wards with that phrasing), but may have said that to get Mr. Officer to accede to Heather seeing Sarah again. I think her "fears" for her are about the "advanced" age of Mr. Exmo more than his exmo-ness.
But, I agree that Barb does seem to be rethinking her life with Bill a lot these days...
As for the head-in-the-hat and fundies...I don't care if its "accurate": like "Martin Ferris" the name of the guy who "witnesses" for Adaleen's testimony, its an elegant nod to actual Mormon history...
From the Ernest L. Wilkinson Diaries: "ELW dreams he's spattered w/ grease. Hundreds steal his greasy pants."

That may be, especially given Ben's recent fall from grace.

Yes, it was, and I loved Adaleen's testimony as well.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.
8) Nicki sneaking into the office and taking the money.....totally awesomest (and a total switch...I thought she was going to sneak in and visit her father).
Was it just me, or was Alby's intention when he was telling Nicki the time of the meeting after she offered to be his "eyes" to "permit" her to steal some $$ as a reward for her spying?
I think Barb may really want her daughter to go back to the LDS church, to keep her away from polygamy (or at least away from guys interested in polygamy).
I also think with each passing episode, Barb is experiencing more revelations that raise doubts about her lifestyle choices; not only for her, but for her children.
Boy is Nicki self-centered.
Ben is an ass.
I may be going to hell in a bucket, babe / But at least I'm enjoying the ride.
