You're the only one here misrepresenting the doctrines of the church.

Like I said: Simon's testimony continues to fray. Soon it will be nothing more than tatters.

You're better at this than Simon.

There is no doubt Nighlion speaks and writes more eloquently than I do. However, our points are the same.

And my point has been demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt: Darth J consistently misrepresents the positions, teachings, and doctrines of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Hi, Simon.

I think that the reason you think Darth J misrepresents LDS teachings is either due to you (a) disregard part of what the Brethren and Correlation have clearly said (cf. materials quoted by Darth J) or (b) the Brethren/Correlation are so inartful with language that they do not say what they mean.

If it is #(a), then you are a cafeteria Mormon, picking and choosing what to say. You'd be Simon the NOM, not Simon the TBM.

If it is #(b), then you have started down a slippery slope of discrediting all of the words of the Brethren/Correlation, since you are saying some of their words do not convey what they are meaning. Again, you are therefore picking and choosing which of their words say what they mean, and so that too renders you a cafeteria Mormon.

Therefore, I dub the, Simon the NOM.

I disagree. There are core doctrines that the church will not bend on, and then there are teachings that have some wiggle room for interpretation. While one leader might state one thing, it's okay for a future leader to state it in a different way as long as it doesn't interfere with the core doctrines.

Regardless, when Darth J states that the brethren believe that the savior vicariously and literally suffered all of the sensations associated with non consensual intercourse -- well, that's just good old Darth J's standard misrepresentations. It's what he does. It's his MO; his raison d'etre.

James E. Faust, November 2001 Ensign

Since the Savior has suffered anything and everything that we could ever feel or experience, He can help the weak to become stronger. He has personally experienced all of it.
