And there's no way in hell John is going to start paying taxes now that he's enjoyed the sweet, sweet nectar of tax-exempt revenue.
Are you under the impression that John doesn't pay income taxes simply because he gets paid by a not-for-profit organization?
One would think that someone who consulted three different lawyers about tax issues would understand something about, you know, income tax?

Some of these just kill me twice. They give and give again.

tax-exempt revenue.
I was so laughing at the salary/revenue ratio, I missed the municipal bond term that was being used.

Hey when someone gets butt-hurt that is one thing but when a group of people get butt-hurt it is emotional and they feed on each other. The motive can be revenge or envy or lots of things but the groupthink lacks reason and runs on emotion and they can easily miss the facts. JB gives great advice get a pet and go for a walk, life is too short.

That's a good point, but any changes might not show up for perusal until the next public reporting requirement, I would think. In any case, I agree, if they are not obligated to make public any report, there's really no legitimate reason to insist the information be divulged.
If either agency had taken action, I don't see how it could not appear somewhere in the annual filing. The annual report is a publicly available document. If any action were taken, I'd expect a line item for fines and/or a reduction in Dehlin's compensation. Unfortunately, the woefully understaffed IRS is still processing filings for 2019.
That's too bad, the 990s are really helpful in comparing nonprofits.

It does raise some eyebrows, doesn't it?

Looks like Patterson filed an IRS complaint against John Dehlin after all
John creates value. People donate to him because they like the value they get. Commucrat/Marxist whiners don't like that.

Moveover, as for company being "non-profit", that just means the company/corporation itself doesn't pay taxes. John himself pays taxes on his personal income. If the Commucrat/Marxist whiners want to whine about something, maybe they should start with the Clinton Foundation, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Soros Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, Ford Foundation, and a host of other tax-exempt foundations that throw their tax-free money around at their personal social-engineering political hobbies.

Of course not. I work for a non-profit and (checks notes) am well aware that I pay taxes.

You guys are so desperate to catch me in some inaccuracy, it’s cute.

If you knew that Bill Clinton was being paid double what the 90th percentile of non-profit leaders similar to the Clinton Foundation make, you would be just fine with that?

When I was in high school, I asked my dad if he didn’t think professional baseball players made too much money.

He told me a thing is worth whatever people will pay for it.

That is what establishes its value.
