Indeed. It's hard to deny that all of this has its roots in old-school, classic-FARMS Mopologetics. There is a reason why Boylan, Smoot, Kraus, and the rest of them are posing in front of the Tanners' bookstore, because who did that first? Boylan's claim about "abhorring racist" reminds me of Dr. Peterson's repeated stories about his father's post-WWII admonitions about the horrors of Nazism, and how he (DCP) has always vowed to stand up against that kind of evil, and yet he's basically functioning as a kind of "mentor" to these folks who are aligned with white nationalism and Neo-Nazi politics. If he's serious about being opposed to this sort of thing that you'd expect him to speak up. Otherwise, all those sanctimonious stories about his father start to seem phony.

Deznat is so much more destructive to the church than the heartlanders. It makes the church look bad/silly and it leans into violence and hatred.
