You didn't put in his biography that he is a writer and has written a lot of stories. and he proved once on FAIR that the Book of Mormon is true because stories are so hard to write. Only really really smart people like Allen can write a story, joseph smith wasn't smart enough and only with the help of an all powerful God who knows everything could Joseph or most anybody else write a story with the exception of just a few people who are sooo smart that they can write one on their own, and in this case Allen has written hundreds.

Hi, wee bird. I'm glad you posted this material here, where it will not be deleted. I erased your posts from my blog after letting them stand for a time, because I didn't feel that they really added very much. If you can provide proof that Wyatt really is a story teller, such as a link to a piece of his fiction, that would be terrific, and I would consider adding it to the blog. for what it's worth, I have deleted posts from Liz and Shades, too.

The time Kemara did it, I replied "Hey, watch it. Only Pahoran gets to call me that." I swear I heard the words *Oh Sh*t* come out of my computer in reply.

You heard wrong.

Just curious how you'd know. This was an exchange between Duder and Kemara - you weren't a part of it. How would you even begin to guess what kemara's reaction was? Unless...

Easy.

1) Kemara isn't me, hence he hadn't given himself away by spotting Dude as a dud, hence he had no reason to make any exclamation.

2) Kemara is a Latter-day Saint, hence he doesn't swear.

Whatever. The problem was that I had no reliable information to the contrary--sock-puppets by definition are not going to admit it, and you had already established negative credibility in your own persona.

So this means, then, that you felt Nomos's remarks were not "reliable"? In other words, you have abandoned FAIR in order to start criticizing the moderation?

No. You made that up.

Be wary, Pah. If you get banned from FAIR, you will receive no such special treatment here.

I receive no "special treatment" there, contrary to your lies.

According to Liz, there is a list circulating amongst the admin on FAIR which contains the names of posters who will never, ever be banned.

And Liz is an authority on this--why, exactly?

You are on that list.

That's the first I've heard.

So you are either ignorant, or a liar yourself.

Either that, or the so-called list is a figment of someone's paranoid imagination.

I got a chuckle out of that one, Pahoran. Reminds me of when I was about 15, and one of my friends (who was Jewish) told me about his father's golf buddy, who was recently called as a bishop. He said that he was surprised that they would call someone who drank beer and swore as much as he did to be a bishop. I said, "Well, he's probably stopped doing both of those things." "No, he hasn't," came the father's reply.

I thought she said they were given extra room before being chastized, not that they would never ever be banned.

That is a Great FAIR Blog you got going on: I especially liked what you wrote about Daniel C. Peterson on Point #3 under 'Notable Activities and Esoterica' of his. Here it is:

3) DCP is highly preoccupied with the website called "Recovery from Mormonism," (RfM) which the Professor thinks is an "odd" and "ironic" name (though why he thinks it qualifies as irony is unclear). He complains fairly often about not being able to post on RfM, and considers the site to be a vile, and despicable place, but this doesn't stop him from visiting on a regular basis. He has been known to refer to RfM as "The Compound."

( http://mormondiscussions.com/discuss/we ... &year=2006 )

Why does DCP whine about not being able to Post on the RfromM Board? Why doesn't he come and start Posting here on the Dr. Shades Message Board where all points of view are welcome? Especially now since the "FAIR" Message Board is down. Oh, I think I know the real reason why he won't and come and Post here. It is because he won't get the special protection from the 'FAIR' Mods here (such as Juliann), for the 'FAIR' Mods to be able to ban people like the "evil critics" who end up giving him to hard of questions to answer. Juliann ended up banning Kevin Graham mainly because DCP wasn't able to answer and debate with Kevin adequately.

I'm surprised you saw a need to post this fawning here, since it is one of the few replies sycophantic enough for Scratch to allow to stand on his blog.

To respond to your points:

1) Dan is not "obsessed" with Scumbag Central. It is they who are obessed with him. His name appears on there regularly, and he has a perfect right to know what is being said about him.

2) The oddity and irony of the name is this: simply that no-one on RfM shows any sign of "recovery." Actually the name is not merely "odd" or "ironic"; Dan is being too kind. It is intentionally and malignantly deceitful.

3) Dan does not "whine." The only reason he would have an interest in posting in that cesspit is because his name is regularly libelled there.

4) The FAIR board has only ever been down for short periods.

5) No-one has ever been banned from the FAIRBoards for asking "hard questions," but for deceitful and/or uncivil behaviour.

6) Kevin was not banned because DCP couldn't debate him. That is a stupid and clearly demonstrable falsehood.

Now I know that, because I have stood up for a friend, "scum people" will see fit to call me a "lapdog." To them, all I can say is: I'd rather be a lapdog than a cowardly cur.

Go ahead and try to get that label to stick, Pah. People are more than welcome to say whatever they like on the forum. No need to worry about things getting cut from the blog. As opposed to FAIR, where this freedom of speech does not exist.

To respond to your points:

1) Dan is not "obsessed" with Scumbag Central. It is they who are obessed with him. His name appears on there regularly, and he has a perfect right to know what is being said about him.

He lurks here and on KG's forum too. Also, he regularly provides accounts of his forays into RfM over on FAIR.

2) The oddity and irony of the name is this: simply that no-one on RfM shows any sign of "recovery." Actually the name is not merely "odd" or "ironic"; Dan is being too kind. It is intentionally and malignantly deceitful.

Your claim would make sense if the site was called "Recovered from Mormonism," but it's not. You seem ill-informed as to what "recovery" actually entails. You'd probably stroll into the cardiothoracic ward at you local hospital and exclaim: "Hey! These people are all moaning and laying in bed! There's no recovery here!"

3) Dan does not "whine." The only reason he would have an interest in posting in that cesspit is because his name is regularly libelled there.
He is regularly discussed here and on KG's board, too. Why doesn't he post here, I wonder?

4) The FAIR board has only ever been down for short periods.
It was down during the time when the above comment was posted.

5) No-one has ever been banned from the FAIRBoards for asking "hard questions," but for deceitful and/or uncivil behaviour.
If this were true, you would've banned eons ago.

6) Kevin was not banned because DCP couldn't debate him. That is a stupid and clearly demonstrable falsehood.

Then why was he banned?

Now I know that, because I have stood up for a friend, "scum people" will see fit to call me a "lapdog." To them, all I can say is: I'd rather be a lapdog than a cowardly cur.

"Friend"? Or "idol"? And who's a coward? We're right here, taking you on, Pah. DCP is nowhere to be seen. The only one here is his lapdog, tongue out and panting excitedly.

Ergo, DCP's obsession with RfM.

Dan does not "whine."

Sure, and if you believe that you probably also think George W. Bush has a brain.

No-one has ever been banned from the FAIRBoards for asking "hard questions," but for deceitful and/or uncivil behaviour.

Yet another bonehead statement by a clearly deranged Pahoran.

Kevin was not banned because DCP couldn't debate him. That is a stupid and clearly demonstrable falsehood.

It is absolutely true -- many of us here were banned for kicking Dan's tushie, as Kevin was. Face it, the Mods protect DCP, and when even they couldn't save him they simply banned those who regularly exposed Dan's arguments for the absurdity they were.

I'd rather be a lapdog than a cowardly cur.

As near as I can tell, you play both roles very, very well.
