One needs to have plausible deniability, plus the ability to wash your hands of it and blame it on the Sanhedrin.

It goes hand in hand with the rejection of personal responsibility. They think if the whole mod squad is in on the banning, then no one person can be blamed.

Hmm. Perhaps that explains Joseph's insistence that all his cronies take up polygamy too.

Only on a Mormon message board would you find a committee to decide on moderator action. I bet they have a committee to decide on the committee too.

Here is Juliann's latest sig line:

Gracious Living~brought to you by Dr. Shade's Obsession Board
"They are hypocrites to a staggering degree when it comes to griping about other forums that gripe about them." ~ Kevin Graham, Feb 6, 2007
"Mormon Discussions is our board. Our community. If we defend porn or vulgarity what's it to you?" ~ Bond..James Bond. Feb. 9, 2007.
"Juliann, on the other hand, in my opinion, is very manipulative, and is definitely a "fair weather friend". Her friendships tend to revolve around who is going to help her socially rise in her circle, and when you have worn out your usefulness, she not only throws you to the curb, but refuses to even dialogue with you. So yes, my suggestion would be to "stay the hell away from her". ~ Liz, Feb. 10, 2007

I like how she takes what I said completely out of context. She probably didn't realize I was being sarcastic too. What a chickensh*t.

Edit: and there are 3 dots between Bond and James Bond, not 2. Get with the program.

Well...I stand by my statement. :) It's interesting that she wears it like a badge of honor. Rather sad, really.

Liz, what is Juliann referring to when she said :

DanG told her she couldn't moderate after she blabbed what she really thought about the church.

It's interesting the way different people use their signature lines.

You have people who use quotes that they like, saying important things that people should be reminded of. That's how I use mine (with quotes from John Clark about HGT vs LGT, and Dr. Shades about the slippery terms "apostasy" and "revelation"). Nighthawke is another person who uses the signature line this way, with her big quote about presentism.

Then you have signature lines that are supposed to capture embarassing things people have said. These are the *gotcha* signatures. DCP did this to me once, and I did it back to him. That was fun. Tarski has a couple of quotes about really loopy things people have said about spiritual science.

Then you have signature lines like Juliann's and most of DCP's, where the person advertises the nasty things that have been said about him/her. These are the ones I don't get.
