Heck, I would give my right testicle to have Juliann post here. Can she say that about any of us?

I have always thought and have previously stated that Juliann suffers from testicle envy.

9) Porn and vulgarity will be stretched to mean just about anything. (I'll buy the vulgarity bit, that's what the Telestial Kingdom is for. But where's the porn? I've been on this site since it began back in October, and haven't seen any pornographic material. Show me evidence on this site!!!)

10) People will cherry pick quotes to distort any argument or a person's original post.

1) MAD posters coming here (by the way: Welcome why me, Steuss, alter idem, anyone else I can't think of)

2) MAD losing the moral high ground (or as Dude said "devolving")

3) Juliann once again being her own worse enemy----(The liz fiasco, cherry picking quotes, etc)

Pride, my failing. Everyone loses when it comes into personal attacks. I'm guilty as the rest. Runtu once again, is the voice of reason.

That is a tall order, but I think it is possible. I will appreciate the nags. As far as Pahoran goes, maybe we could cover him with honey.

I think you're right.

Apparently Dr. Peterson is getting tired of the attacks also, as Charity opened a thread about it, to which the mods responded that they would discuss the situation. I see one problem, though. MADB needs the cooperation of some of the worst offenders on that board to change the tone and I don't think they'll get it.

A thread over on RfM claims that DCP has left MAD. Is this true? I'd check for myself, but have been banned from even reading the bb.

I think he pulled a Benson and announced a sabbatical from MAD for a while. But I haven't checked.

Edit: Dangit Rollo. Now you got me interested again. Oh well ;) Here's what the king says.

On reflection, I'm done. I've grown very tired of my character and personality being a focus here (and elsewhere). I don't need it. Thick-skinned though I am, I'm weary of the insults and the gratuitous assaults. I'm tired of my sense of humor being completely misinterpreted and my writing style treated as evidence of malevolence and vanity, and have come to think that my participation on this board simply opens me up to gross misinterpretation. I'm interested in discussing issues, but not at all interested in discussing myself. It has always struck me as unseemly for me to be continually obliged to defend myself against charges (typically by people who've never met me) that I'm mean, hateful, bigoted, arrogant, gluttonous, dishonest, and the like. The Pantsman and blueadept nonsense is simply the last straw.

Accordingly, from here on out, I'll limit my participation on this board to occasionally announcing publications that I think people ought to know about.

I imagine that there will be considerable crowing in certain circles, and cynical predictions that I'll be back soon, but, frankly, I don't much care. I've wasted too much time on message boards anyway.
