Request for an Egyptologist sympathetic to Mormonism

The cantidate must also not be Mormon and has published in respected peer reviewed journals. As is the need in these circles, peer reviewed is not defined as walking acrost the hall and dropping your paper in the lap of a colleague in the same niche discipline.

Since I am predicting this will be an impossibility I declare myself an easy victor and sit back as the "Nuh uh! Is too!" comments to roll in from our resident McEgyptologist PO.

Because from what I can see, Mormons don't respect Egyptologists at all. Most of my neighbors think the Egyptologists are the ones who have it all wrong, and if they'd just listen to Joseph, they'd know a lot more than they do.

I think a great deal of these people like PO believe that they are somehow linked to a scholarly effort yet they lack any kind of coherent dialogue with actual Egyptologists.

I think that PO has shown in another similar thread that he is in touch
with at least one egyptologist who is sympathetic to the LDS if some
of the Book of Abraham apologetic policies are changed and who privately supports
and advises him when he gets in trouble with fanatics of the K. Shirts
type or with others.

Let him correct me if I´m wrong.

In another LDS forum some time ago a LDS scholar said that arguing
with KS is wasting one´s time because he lacks any scholarly ability
or credentials and only muddles up things and blabbers away uncomfortable
facts giving a very poor impression of LDS honesty and true scholarly ability.
