The Golden Land of the Book of Mormon is across the pond.

It seems she's an individual who is searching for something that makes better sense than what has been proposed by apologists and has an open mind and is searching for an answer. Notice in the comments, Robert F Smith, informs her that Mesoamerica is the only place that has physical evidence to supports an ancient civilization described in the Book of Mormon.

Only one place in the New World has a massive, well-populated, literate civilization which used cement and built large cities. At the same time, the Book of Mormon narrative includes very short distances between places, requiring us to limit the geographical area to something very small – as is also required of the biblical Land of Israel. Strict scholarship limits what we can do with imaginative correlations.

I would like to rebut the above comment by saying there is only one place in the New World that fits the landform described in the Book of Mormon and that place is Delmarva. When Laura Hathaway comes to realize that the Book of Mormon is pure fiction then the pieces that comprise the makings of the Delmarva theory will make perfect sense.
