Farewell to Board Wars

I should have done this earlier.
I'm not going to participate in any more of the cross posting, personality attacking madness that's been going on with too much regularity between the critics here on MDB and a few people on MAAD. The number one reason is it's a complete waste of time. I'm not going to post on such threads anymore, and I probably won't even read them. I hope I won't even be mentioned on them because I don't want to be sucked in.
Any attempt to turn this thread into an argument about of blame and victim, or who started it, or what the moderators should do about it... is completely off topic and antithetical to the purpose of this thread.
Instead, I invite others to join me in a vow of Board War pacifism. We should have better things to talk about, and if that's not the case, then we should all go off-line and pick up a book.

I'll join. The board wars have been really demoralizing to me, especially when I've been sucked into them. I apologize for my part in them.

Okay does this mean I can't make talk about MAD anymore? Cause that just isn't going to fly.
But good for you Dude if you're able to avoid this stuff. Hope you'll still post here.

Well, part of the reason this place was started was in order to give people a chance to respond to certain things said over at MAD that they can't say there. Does that constitute (in your mind) a board war? I'm assuming not all cross-posting constitutes war, so where will you draw the line? Or do you plan just to never comment on things said at MAD as though the place simply doesn't exist?
By the way, that's what I do, for the most part. Since I never go there, I can't comment on the things said over there (unless they're reposted here), and only ever comment on the personalities over there based on what I remember of them from my time there. Personally, I find that enough is said here for the place to be mostly self-contained.

How is it any more of a waste of time than participating on these boards at all? It's all just a form of entertainment anyways...
And by the way, DanG and Juliann suck. oh, woops, did i just ruin your thread? ;)

I welcome you to be my conscience as long as you speak in the voice of Homer Simpson.

YES YOU DID!
Well, I'll still have opinions. I have opinions about who is mainly at fault here, and what the moderators should do about it, etc. etc. but I just won't talk about it on the board. Maybe in private. That's what PMs are for.

Can't we just blame Juliann. I blame her for everything anyway. Grocery runs out of juice----Juliann. Something in my water glass---Juliann. Heck God gets credit for all the good stuff, why can't Juliann replace Satan as the bringer of all bad in the world ;)

I don't know. If I still posted at MAD, and valued my membership, I probably wouldn't do any of the board smack talk either. But I don't, and so I won't rule it out - especially if it involves a chance to piss on DanG or Juliann (yes, I have a problem with holding grudges).
