It did get taken down. . . but the billboard company gave them another 20 days for free in Pocatello for the issue.

If the owner of the land wanted to have it taken down that is his or her choice. What I can't understand about the postmormon billboard is the smiling face. I see no smiling faces on that discussion forum. I do see bitter and angry faces but no happy faces. I believe that the billboard should reflect the basic nature of postmoism, an unhappy and bitter face would be more on target. Why mislead a population?

What empire? I don't think that the church was in involved in this at all.

We all see what we want to see, and disregard the rest.

I don't think the church was involved either. I was:
1) Being sarcastic and playing on the belief of some that the LDS Church has wide sweeping powers in Utah and can act on them (and that anything possibly critical of the LDS that is squashed is ultimately squashed by LDS Church influence)
2) A play on the Star Wars sequel titled: The Empire Strikes Back

I understand. It is just that critics of the church can use generalizatiions as you did to imply that the church is an empire and can use its power to have such a billboard taken down.
On that postmo site, if I would have challenged you, I would have automatically been attacked by several postmo posters and...I would have been mocked and ridiculed for challenging you...eventually leading to a ban. I don't see happy and well adjusted people on that site. The billboard can be misreading in my opinion. But what do I know?

Why Me, quit with your persecution complex. You were banned because you couldn't post in any way other than blatant attack. There was no attempt at following the "house rules" which were clearly posted in several locations. You were warned in excess of a dozen times before the staff had an online meeting and decided that your attitude and posting style didn't fit the paradigm that they were trying to portray and made the decision to ban you. Now, given that the staff over there is rather protective of their participants. . . I think a dozen plus warnings was way more than you should have deserved for some of the s*** you tried pulling over there.
Talk about bitter, huh?
And, before anyone buys into Why Me's bitching session. . . There have only been 6 people banned in 4 years. And they all receive a plethora of warnings. I have yet to see anyone (in the three years I've been on that board) get banned just for confronting someone's ideas/posts. It's usually, as was the case with Why Me, because they were being complete raging dick-holes about it.

What are you talking about? It seems overly cheery to me! I haven't posted much there because the place struck me as too chirpy.
