That was fantastic Porter, thank you for sharing that.
I think its this thursday on the BYU channel that there is a showing of the history of the church in Africa. I have it set to record on my DVR. Its called Pioneers of Africa, it comes on at 7:00 pm and again at 10:00.

I know, I saw the strings attached to his back, the script he was reading from, the utter lack of sincerity, and no doubt there were crocodile tears in the bishop's office.

I don't see why the 'token black' should be demeaned by that term. That seems borderline-racist to say he can't hold that opinion on his own independently because of his race.

I rather doubt Mr. Freeman would appreciate being called the token black.
Even though I view the ending of the ban as being 150 years overdue, it is still a cause for celebration. (by the way, he was misidentified in this clip as being the first black Priesthood holder - that distinction goes to Elijah Abel in March 1836).

sure he would feel deeply insulted. Porter does not seem to realise how offensive his term "token black" is. As if he can't do his own thinking, but is just a "puppet on a string". A "brainwashed voice for the Morg".
